オーナーの方が親しみやすくて、和食の朝食をだしてくれてとてもよかった。日本人の旅行にぜひ勧めたい入口がわかりにくいので、もっとわかりやすい看板を出してくれたらよいと思う。

We had the downstairs courtyard room which was wonderful. Tastefully decorated and immaculately clean. The room was at the back so very quiet yet within a short walk of the high street with all its lovely shops, restaurants and pubs. We were the only guests on a Sunday night so had our breakfast in the courtyard. We had a wonderful time and would stay again.

Both the property and its host are absolutely charming. You’re in for a treat when you stay here!

Quaint little b&b on the main road in Tenterden. Run by a friendly Scot called Rod. The room was clean, comfortable and reasonably spacious. The property is very old so inevitably a bit creaky . Nice cooked breakfast in the courtyard was a particular highlight.

We had a fantastic one night stay in an historic building with a hint if the Orient. Great Breakfast and Rod the owner was delightful. Highly recommended.

We had a very pleasant visit to this lovely Tudor house. It is well maintained, clean and well equipped. Rod Hardingham was a helpful host, and produced a good breakfast. Beware the low ceilings though!

Quirky room, but in a nice way. The bed was very comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. Rod is a very good host. Just two points: we weren't able to get hot water from the taps, despite running them for several minutes, and we didn't want to keep them running as it would waste water. The hot tap on the bath didn't work at all. We got hot water by running the electric shower to the basin. There is a little step in the bathroom, which Rod did point out, but I still tripped on it 2 or 3 times. Maybe, mark the step with hazard warning tape. We would stay there again.

Friendly host, clean comfortable room

Absolutely stunning property for those who like a bit of history. Host was so accommodating to our needs. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we felt so relaxed making the most of the roll top bath. Breakfast was top drawer (loved the sausages especially). Nothing to fault. We’re already booked in for next year!

Had a lovely stay, Rod the owner was very amiable and nothing was a problem ,breakfast was a delight too. Room spacious bathroom huge ! Would definitely return and recommend. WW

From our arrival on, we felt uneasy. Having had a long and stressful journey round the M25, on arrival we were asked when we wanted breakfast and what we wanted. Taken aback we said - full english please. Our room, and none of the other rooms, could be locked. Our first beakfast was poor. Barely cooked sausage and bacon and raw mushrooms. The continental breakfast was barely that: Bran flakes, corn flakes or cheap muesli plus apple/orange juice. The following day we asked for scrambled eggs on toast and were treated to barely toasted bread, grey scrambled eggs plus cherry tomatoes and mushrooms (fortunately less raw than the day before) and the host hovered over the breakfast table as I was finishing my breakfast. The host also be-moaned the guests visiting Chapel Down winery (which was where we were going) so a bit of self-awareness is needed we thinks. All in all an experience which we won't be repeating. Tentderden was fablulous, lots to see and do, including a brilliant jazz club at the Grape Vine, several restaurants and tea rooms plus the preserved railway. We will be back but looking for a different place to stay.
