ガトウィック空港に近いというだけで選びましたが、とてもいいホテルでした。朝食も、とても美味しかった。

This was my second visit to this hotel. Single Room is not so wide but quite enough for me, a Japanese. I like especially the clearness of the room. All staff is very kind and friendly. I also like their breakfast. We can choose from several dishes made of local production.

ギルフォードの駅からずっと上り坂になりますが、徒歩15分程度で段差もないので、スーツケースを持っていても、そんなに大変ではないと思います。住宅地の中にポツンとあるホテルで、周りには何もありませんが、中心街まで15分程度なので、不便は感じませんでした。 スタンダードシングルの部屋は、Lサイズのスーツケースをギリギリ広げられるかどうかという広さですが、周辺のホテルの値段を考えると安い方なので、コスパはいいかと思われます。

サリー大学に10分ほどで歩ける距離で便利です。また、ギルフォード駅も5分くらいで便利な立地です。最近改装された室内はきれいで、モダンでした。

優れた宿泊施設だと思う。全てが4.5あたりなので、4.5ぐらいになるように4と5を付けた。ギルフォードの駅から歩いて何とか行ける距離だが、登りなので大きなスーツケースだと少しきついかも。荷物がなければ、ギルフォード中心街、大学まで歩いて15分程度。従業員はフレンドリーで頼めば対応してくれるが、基本的には少人数スタッフで環境を整備し、適当に客を放置するスタイル。10-14時に部屋で過ごしたい人には不向き。清掃時の消臭液のにおいが気になったが、全体に清潔で、寝ごごちの良い寝具は上級。駐車場は無料。なお、周辺エリアは車があってこそ楽しめる場所、ヒースローから車で1時間、ギルフォードの駅にもレンタカーの営業所がある。

部屋の場所にも因ったのだろうが、交通量の多い道路の脇だったこと、階段のすぐ近くだったことなどから、うるさくて何度も起こされた。廊下を通る人の声、上の部屋の物音などがひどかった。チェックインは１１時だったが、早くから掃除の人が動き、大声でやり取りをしていたので、部屋でゆっくり休めなかった。駅から徒歩圏であること、朝食がオーガニックフードで美味しかった点は良かった。

Lovely staff, quiet location, very good breakfast (half off if you book directly with the hotel). The shower heat and power were absolutely divine! The room had everything I needed. I was surprised for a 4 star hotel not to have any toiletries provided (but no worries, I brought my own) and the bathroom ceiling was not in excellent shape (flaking paint and some mildew). Comfy bed. Wish I could've backed a window for some fresh air, but I'm sure it's a security issue with the room being right facing the road. Walkable to the station and town and there's a bus stop out front as well.

Really enjoyed our stay

Overall an excellent stay. The room was a smaller than the picture suggested and there was quite a bit of noise from the main road. However, it had all of the basic necessities, it was clean and it was comfortable. The bathroom although separate (although not shared), was also clean and convenient. The staff were also very friendly and accomodating.

This is a small hotel that has been updated and the bathroom was very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I appreciated being able to have breakfast here. The doors are locked at 10:00 PM, so I felt very safe. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only caution is there is no air conditioning, which I had not noticed when I booked. The room had a fan which was fine since it was September, but this would be difficult in the summer. Any other time of the year I would definitely stay here again.

The bushes in the car parking area definitely need cutting back to allow safe parking, specially with a £10 charge. Sleeping was not good with window very slightly open because of traffic noise. The room would benefit from net curtains. Excellent evening meal, thank you.
