部屋はせまいが、クラシックな装飾に好感を持つことができ、落ちつける。

パディントン駅から徒歩10分で交通の便が良く、スタッフも親切で快適に過ごせました。荷物はチェックアウト前後で預かってもらえたので滞在時間一杯まで観光できて助かりました、部屋と朝食は可もなく不可もなくという感じでした。

ここのホテルのいいところはとにかく交通の便がいい。

受付スタッフはとてもフレンドリーでした。部屋は広くはないけど、必要なものはすべて揃っていて、電源プラグもたくさんあって便利でした。パディントン駅のすぐそばなので、レストランやマーケットも徒歩圏内で便利な立地でした。

チェックインした向かい側に宿泊施設はありました。　狭い階段を重い荷物を持っての移動は大変でした。　窓のない部屋で、しかも６階。　雨が多いのに天窓が開いていました。　部屋に入った時に何だか足元が湿っている気がしたのですが、そのときは天窓に気づかず、夜中に雨が部屋に入ってきて雨音で目が覚めました。　無理やり狭い場所にシャワーとトイレを取り付けてベッドを入れたためか、トイレのドアは閉めようとしたらベッドの角にあたるため閉められませんでした。　

空港から特急に乗ってパディントン駅から5分程度、重い荷物を引きずって階段を上らずに辿り着ける宿を探していたので立地は最高でした。ロンドンの安いホテルではよくある長屋タイプの建物ですので、シングルは上階の屋根裏や上階にあることが多くエレベーターもないですが、駅と違い一つずつゆっくり運べるのでこの点は覚悟・妥協してました。部屋は狭いですが必要十分、シャワー付きでしたがトイレは共同でした。WiFiも大丈夫でした。朝食も普通のイングリッシュブレクファストでした。立地が良いのでまた泊まってもいいかなと思います。

My wife and I stayed for one night at The Balmoral. While the room and bathroom were small, they served our purposes very well. Staff were helpful, check in and out were easy and the complimentary breakfast was good. We would definitely stay here for another short term London stay. The premises were very clean.

The Balmoral House Hotel is a great place to stay for other reasons than just being near Paddington. The staff cannot do enough for you. Great breakfast. Clean building. Clean room. Job done.

Staff were all very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a top floor room on a hot weekend, so the room was very warm, but we had been given a fan to help.

Hotel typique ancien cachet, bien placé, bonne literie. Personnel très serviable, simple, facile.

The only good thing was the breakfast and the location. The room was the smallest I've ever stayed in. It was hotter than hell and there is no air. The one window needed to be open day and night for air or I think someone could literally die in there. I get it, London is normally not as hot as when we stayed in July, but I would thoyit would always be a bit too warm and stuffy. One window, no screen, 3 cramped beds for the family room and it had the absolute smallest shower and bathroom. It was so terrible we had to laugh. No air flow in summer with a fan that didn't even work. It was miserable.

If you have any mobility issues, be aware that there is no elevator in this B&B. Having said that, the room was quiet, the bed was comfy, the shower worked, free (instant) coffee and tea in the room was most welcome, and the breakfast was ample. The hotel is a 5-minute walk to Paddington Station and to Kensington and Hyde Parks. The Balmoral represents very good value for money.

Unhelpful check in staff. Be aware that , while the website says check in closes at 2300, it doesn’t state that means the reception isn’t staffed and therefore even if you have checked in before 1400 and there fore can’t get to your room, but plan to return after 2300 you will not be able to collect your room key! No air conditioning. Noisy fan supplied was ineffective. Quite noisy with window open with road traffic. However, room was clean and it was walking distance to our concert in Hyde Park.

No AC and the fan wasn’t strong enough. We requested another one but they didn’t have extra. Also, the room was in a 4 floor without elevator. At 6:30 am the traffic woke up us every morning.

Breakfast staff were excellent!

Location is excellent. Only a few blocks to Paddington Station. Breakfast was good. Very small bathroom but clean. No air conditioning but that's not unusual for the area. Desk person was very helpful with answers to my questions. No elevator.
