総合評価とレビュー Abbotsford Guest House

一人旅で三泊しました。エディンバラ駅から徒歩で30分強の位置にあり、大きいスーツケースでの移動は避けた方が無難。バスも走ってますが、私は常に徒歩移動でした。施設のすぐ近くにはコープやサンズベリーなどのスーパーがあり、滞在する分にはそれなりに便利で、静かなエリアです。治安も特に不安はありません。体力に自信があれば、旧市街への移動は、カールトンヒルという大変見晴らしのいい場所を抜けて向かうのをお勧めします。なお、チェックインは1400からなので、呉々も早く付かないようご注意を。 施設はエディンバラでこの値段、ということで期待はしないこと。私は三階（二階）の屋根裏のような部屋を利用しましたが、タオルやシャンプー等最低限。共同のシャワーは凄く湯量が少ないです。季節によっては凄く寒いかも。朝食はパンと紅茶程度の簡素なものです。朝食が0830からなので、朝早くから行動する方は利用ができませんのでご注意を。 いずれにせよ、全て値段相応です。エディンバラは本当に素晴らしい街なので、節約した分楽しみましょう。

街の中心から少し離れたB&B 大通りへのアクセスはよく、バスは便利。天気がよければ30分で散歩がてらに街の中心にアクセス可能

部屋が広く、歴史を感じさせる内装で、贅沢な気分になりました。 駅からは歩けませんが、街の中心部へのバスが、頻繁に出ていて、とても便利でした。バスのone day passのことも教えてもらえました。

ウェイブリー駅からは徒歩で約15分位で少し遠いですが、途中にレストランや深夜まで営業しているスーパー等があるので便利でした。 朝食は基本メニューは一緒ですが、フルブレックファスト(卵、ベーコン、 ソーセージ、マッシュルーム、豆)か、これらのうち好きなものだけをリクエストすると、トーストと共に出来たてをサーブしもらえるのでとても良かったです。 不便だなと感じたところは、Wi-Fiが部屋では繋がりにくかった事(時間によっては繋がる時もあった)、シャワーと トイレが建物に一箇所しかないので、タイミングが悪いと待たなければならない事です。 それ以外は朝食やオーナーの方も優しい方だったのでまあまあかなぁ…と 思います。

Wi-Fiが使えない。自前の駐車場がない。以上、事前の情報と異なる。メールで確認したにもかかわらず、正確な情報に欠ける。

朝食のサービスや、荷物を預かってもらったり、親切にしていただき、満足のサービスが受けれました。オイルヒーターが時間によってついたりつかなかったり、寝る前は少し寒かったです。共用のトイレとバスが一つの階に一つで同じ部屋内だったので、誰かが入っている時は使えず、少し不便に感じました。

Good location, early check in much appreciated

Det har ett bra läge genom närheten till spårvagnar som snabbt tar en vidare till alla sevärdheter i Edinburgh. Små rum och bra sängar. Men man får vara beredd på att dela toalett och dusch med 8 andra rum.

Our room was very small, my 6’3 father could barely stand in it. Also the bathrooms are communal, I did not see that anywhere in the listing and would not have stayed as my parents are older and don’t enjoy that. The bathroom had no hand towel and they did not provide one (they also only gave us two towels not three). My bed was not made upon arrival with dirty sheets, however my parents bed was clean. We were pretty disappointed as this building has such good reviews and old architecture

Bra och lugnt läge. Nära till spårvagn och buss. Trevliga pubar och restauranger i närheten. Enda nackdelen med hotellet var att vi fick dela toalett och dusch med nio rum.

This property does not have accessible laundry services for guests! Although they advertised twice that they have laundry, laundry is not an option for guests. Laundry availability was one of the reasons we booked this stay, so please keep in mind that they do not actually offer laundry services. We had to pay to use the laundromat down the street which was fine, but this stay did gasket advertise for laundry in my opinion. Also the wifi never worked, and they never provided use with a correct and working password. If traveling here in summer, remember that there is no AC. We were lucky to be able to keep our window open, but there is a skylight in both the bathroom and the stairway that heats up the entire building as you go higher up. When we arrived we went ahead and changed the sheets as they did not look clean, we also had to get new towels because there was only one and it seemed to be dirty. Maybe they forgot to change our room? We did check in right after check in time so it should have been enough time to clean the room but who knows. Anyway, area was nice and walkable about 30 minutes to the center with plenty do food and shops on the way. We enjoyed how it was not very crowded and felt safe as we were two younger women staying. Overall 3.5/5, would stay again in cooler weather and if the room was for sure changed before arrival!

Relatively clean and definitely quiet and walkable. About a 30 minute walk from touristy parts of Edinburgh, can’t beat the value if you just need a place to sleep.

Location is great, close to most and very close to trams, bed was comfortable. Though the shower was a dribble, and a few bits and pieces didn’t work. The communal area needs some work, don’t expect clean dishes to use or a breakfast included like we thought.

Levede bestemt ikke op til billederne. Prisen er meget dyr i forhold til hvad man får.

Beds are super comfy beds. Easily walk to downtown with easy transit options super clean and nice rooms would stay again

I have previously been to the abbotsford when ut was under different owner who kept the BnB absolutely beautiful and was a brillant host and so peaceful place to lay your head.i would not receive this BnBs as its terribly dirty with used beds sheets still on and very noisey!! Thats been nice guys!!

Stort rum med gott om sängplats för oss fyra. Sköna sängar, rent och fint badrum, enkel incheckning enligt beskrivning per mail. Bra wifi och läget var bra med kort gångavstånd till spårvagnen. Svårt att förstå hur man skulle boka/köpa frukost, så det blev det ingen. Luktade lite skumt i trapphuset och ibland luktade det cigarettrök.

The staff was responsive and friendly. Overall the stay was nice, the only thing that made me not give them 5/5 is that we booked a triple room, upon arriving to the room only 2 bath towels where found, and even tho we asked for an extra towel through Expedia chat nobody provided it. Bear in mind with this and bring your towels from home but after all, we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for hosting us :)

We stayed only one night & it was good to get a room fair 3 walkable to both Leith & city centre.
