We prepaid the room charge through hotels.com but the receptionist tried to charge us when we check out. She was saying that hotels.com sent guarantee only, no payment has been made. We explained the status, then she told us to stay another 1 hour until the manager comes unless we don't pay. It was impossible because of our flight schedule. We again explained to her to contact to hotels.com with presenting the booking receipt. At the end, she agreed to release us but made no apology for inconvenience caused. Moreover, she said we should have made a direct booking to the hotel because third part involvement would cause such miscommunications. We don't know if such mess was caused by hotels.com or she was just inexperienced. In which case, it was unpleasant experience for us as a hotel guest.
