There was a celebration party in place when I checked in at the hotel. Was told the room was made up. To my horror, the beds were not looking great. I took pictures of the so called made up beds to the reception. The guy there was leaning one arm against the desk and other hand fiddling with a set of keys. I showed him the pictures and he told me the bedsheets material are meant to be wrinkled. Was not interested at all to help solve the issue. I thought I could sleep there for the night. However when I inspected the bed before climbing in, I saw bad stain marks on the bedsheets. By this time it was close to midnight and new staff were at the counter. He apologised and gave me a set of fresh bedding. I lead him to the bed to show him the stains and he took pictures of them. The following morning when I spoke to the Manager, she refused to refund my payment stating it was a non refundable booking. However my complaint was due to the poor service and state of the bed. They tried to offer me free breakfast and money off vouchers but I have no plans to return to the hotel. The hotel does not value customers as I was not the only one making a complaint on the day. The receptionist lied when he told me the bed was ready when quite frankly,the bedding was not changed after the previous customer. I honestly don't know how this hotel can be classed as a 4 star hotel. Couldn’t even provide a kettle and allowed kids from the party running and screaming along the corridor at 10pm.
