lovely atmosphere and staff. we enjoyed our stay though the room was a bit cold at night.

Our family room was clean comfortable and spacious. Check in was seamless and the pub/bar area Is great. We had breakfast and the full English was one of the best we’ve ever had. Highly recommend if you’re going to stay in the area.

The menu choices were varied and portion size was amazing and represented good value for money. The accommodation was very comfortable, clean and provided a very restful stay

First time stayed, everything fine apart from kitchen fan noise, but was turned off when pub shut, hosts and staff are great and friendly. The food whether breakfast, lunch or an evening meal is brilliant

This property is very well maintained and far better than many chain hotels like Holiday Inn or Premier Inn. The room had everything we needed for a very comfortable and relaxing stay. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy, clean, and well-equipped place to stay!

Pub, food and staff were lovely. Good location. Dog friendly. The annexe/bungalow however had a few issues including radiators being stuck on, shower leakages and the building being very noisy at night due to a large amount of rooms/people in a small space. I do however feel like we were just quite unlucky so would encourage others to stay here.

Quintessential English pub - great character, great food and lovely people. Room big, bed comfy and shower strong. Recommend for sure.

Very clean. Super comfy beds and pillows. Very quiet in a separate building to the pub, just other guests leaving at 6am via loud door but can't help that. Breakfast was nice (tea pot was a terrible pourer though!) Staff were super friendly and professional.

Really nice place to stay- room comfortable and was quiet despite being above a pub. Service was excellent as well

The stay was very good food exellent carpark could do with upgrade but apart from thateverything was good staff cannot do enough for you would stay again

Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Room was clean and tidy

Convenient location close to the A64 and a number of Yorkshire attractions. My room was in an annexe building at the top of the car park. All was bright, clean and warm. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Ample tea and coffee in the room. Strong free WiFi. Room on the small side and bathroom tiny though adequate. Problem with shower tray draining slowly reported to staff. Staff in the main building pleasant and eager to please. The crowning glory is the pub and particularly the food which was excellent both for the evening meal and breakfast.

Lovely hotel ,food was excellent ,breakfast didnt start til 8am but they did me a packed lunch to pick up in morning so i didnt loose out on some food 😀 ( nice touch ) also property is very reasonably priced for what they provide compared to alot of hotels round that area ,love the quirky name 👍
