bad experience with the owners. took my passport and would not give it back until i checked out. they also tried to scam me so that they got double the amount of money they were supposed to. the place itself was okay but i would not stay here again, especially as someone from another country. the hotel seemed to be unorganized and did not look dirty but it felt dirty.

Rea är ett enkelt men mycket trevligt och prisvärt boende, läget är helt perfekt nära till bad, gamla stan, och shopping. Trevlig, hjälpsam och jättefin personal.

First time visit to Greece for wedding of a friend. Hotel Rea only 2 - 3 KM from Naxos Airport (10 Euro by taxi). Arrived around 9.30 am after a 15 hour journey fully expecting not to be able to check in until 1 pm, but pleasantly surprised taken to my upgraded room immediately. Nice hotel on edge of Naxos town, approximately 5 - 10 mins walk from the beach and 10 - 15 minute walk from the town and harbour area. Clean, generally quiet, with a nice comfortable bed and basic room facilities, i.e. fridge, shower/toilet, AC. Owner was very welcoming and friendly offering free transportation back to the Airport upon return journey. If you are happy with no frills basic inexpensive accommodation, I would highly recommend Hotel Rea.
