We don't need luxury while traveling, so this was a great find. This motel was quiet, clean, and reasonably priced. Parts of the decor were vintage, but in good condition, new carpeting was a plus. The bed could use a topper, but did the job. The owner/ staff was extremely helpful,and called a shuttle that saved us from paid parking when taking the ferry. All rooms face the lake and we enjoyed using provided lawn chairs to sit lakeside and enjoy it. A grill is out back and other guests used it to prep their dinner. We would return!

Very nice facility.

We love coming here, great staff and great location. Beautiful views, quality breakfast and friendly staff. The facility is well worn and needs an upgrade but we enjoy the laid back UP feel. Near good restaurants and attractions. Our patio doors wouldn’t stay shut or lock but other than that the shower is nice, everything is just worn.

Very quiet and friendly had no problems checking in lots of rooms on 3 levels with a fabulous lake view.

Property us extremely outdated. Balcony sliding door was broke. Front desk does not answer the phone. Fire pits were full of trash & unuseable. Chairs were broken on the beach. Bathroom sink leaked. Ac was not enough to cool the room even when it was 75 degrees outside. AC leaked water all over the carpet.

Location was great, every room has a view. The bed was hard and the pillows werent great. The toilet and shower were avacado green. If our rate waa $50 less I would have given 4 instead of 5 based on the cleanliness and staff and view.

When I arrive the TV and the refrigerator were unplugged. I had to wedge the dresser out to plug those things back in, so therefore my fridge did not get cold until the next day we was checking out. The office said they would replace it Saturday, but never did. There was an extreme amount of hairs on the bathroom floor and in the tub. Lots of cigarette butts around the parking lot on the ground. On checkout day, we got an extended time to stay and we had people walking in our room to clean it while we were in the room. The TV speakers were busted so when we watch TV, there was an extreme amount of static on every channel. The cold water didn’t work in the bathroom sink. It was scolding hot water only.

Old property that needs renovation

IT WAS AFFORDABLE,BUT HAD A GOOD VIEW OF THE LAKE.THE FACILITY IS A LITTLE OLDER, BUT EVERYTHING WAS VERY NICE. WAS PLEASED WITH MY 4 DAY STAY AT IT.

I read the mixed reviews and decided to give this place a chance and it was as bad as the worst reviews state. The rooms, the grounds, the beach were all in awful condition. As much as they charge per room, they should be able to start renovating these outdated, rundown rooms. The staff were all kind and helpful. The continental breakfast, while small, was fine. Everything was fresh and replenished as needed. We unfortunately won't be back.

Very nice location and easy to get to ferry and shopping

Terrible, first front desk young men were rude, didn't even look at you when in conversation. Room bed was comfortable but the rest of a mess. Frames falling of pictures, rug dirty, breakfast HUGE disappointment, tap water either came out in trickles or full blast. Not knowing the outcome till turned on. It was a great view but the area between hotel and beach filled with goode poop!! A lot of poop!!! Find another hotel that cares more about its customers.

Not much food options in the area for breakfast but , lots of good food options for lunch and dinner… the hotel is in a good location and the amenities are okay. The staff is very friendly. The beds are average comfortable. I love the view of Lake Huron ! The seagulls are horrible especially the poop every where!! Bonfire pit is a good place to relax.. bugs are everywhere especially at night! Honestly, all in all I would recommend to stay here as a place that is very close to everything! I would stay there again
