コルカタの古い中心地にあるので、車の音はしました。出てすぐに大通りがあるので、観光地へのアクセスはよかったです。スタッフはとても感じがよく、色々とリクエストに応えてくれます。

予約の時点で宿泊人数は判明しております。チェックイン当日ホテル側で準備している部屋は人数分のリネン・アメニティ等揃えていてほしいです。

近くに、レストランが少ないのが、少し困った…気にしない人なら、官庁勤めの方の、昼ごはん屋台が、美味しく、ジップロックを持参すれば、持ち帰りもできるので、お試しあれ。

高級ホテルなので設備としては文句ありませんが，オベロイほどの豪華さはありません。エレベータのシステムが故障するなど，技術的なトラブルも見られました。 ただし！ホテルのサービスについては大いに問題があると思います。色々と高くて不便なことが多いです。まず，普通なら無料サービスで付けてくれるWiFiも有料で，チェックアウトと同時に使えなくなる為，非常に不便です。 空港へのタクシーを頼もうとしてフロントに申し出ると，「２，７００ルピーでリムジンを手配する。」とのこと。通常タクシーは３００ルピーである為，あまりに高いので渋っていると，「特別に２，０００ルピーにする。強制ではないので，あとはあなたが決めてください。」と言われました。 市内でタクシーを見つけると言うと，「今日は休日だから，店も全部閉店。タクシーも捕まえられない。」とまで言われました。結局散歩がてらホテルの前の大きな道に出ると何台もタクシーが通っていて，空港まで５００ルピー（残金が５００だった為。３００でも普通にいけそうでした）でいけました。 何だかコンシェルジェも含め，色々と礼儀正しいのですが，適切な情報はもらえません。これならしっかりとした高級ホテルに泊まるか，サダルストリート付近の中級ホテルまたは安宿に泊まった方がいいかもしれません。割引料金があるというのは理由があるのだなと思いました。

オールドストリートにあり、ホテル周囲の雰囲気が良かった。５つ星ホテルだが、あまり大きすぎない構えのホテルで、ブティックホテル、デザインホテル、といった感じ。規模が大きすぎない雰囲気が気に入った。入り口では空港並の全荷物検査をおこなわれ、セキュリティにはかなり気を遣っている。ホテル内のレストランも素晴らしい。ハウラー駅にも近いので便利。ホテルでタクシーなどを手配してもらうと、値段は日本並みに高額になってしまうし、部屋でのWifiも別料金になるが、その辺は仕方ないか。

今回３回目の宿泊。宿泊回数を増すごとに快適さを感じています。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　初めて宿泊のチェックイン時にはエクスペディアでの予約で宿泊代は既に精算済であるにもかかわらず、　　　ほぼ一泊分の金額をDEPOSITさせられ不愉快な思いをしたが２回目以降はそのような煩わしい事は無くなった。エクスペディアでの宿泊予約についてはホテル側・宿泊者双方とも安心・安全を保証されたいものです。

とっても素敵で快適なホテルでした。スタッフの方も丁寧に対応してくれます。wifiが不安定なのが難でしたが、これにもスタッフの方が対応してくれました。

This was merely ok. For this class hotel and price, they should have full AC and no unscreened windows. It was full of mosquitos, which is a huge disease issue!

LaLiT is a historic building, near the colonial seat of power when Calcutta was the capital of the British Raj. The traffic around the hotel is chaotic, not to mention crowded. But the staff were wonderful. My husband and I enjoyed our stay, and will stay there again when we are next in Kolkata.

Although I arrived late, and the hotel was at capacity due to the IPL opening game, I received very quick and efficient service from the reception staff. My suite was beautiful (Victoria suite) and every moment at the LaLit Great Eastern felt like a journey through time and history. The food was also good and the staff at Alfresco were helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommend here for foreigners.

The staff was great, the breakfast average, the hotels is worn out and its in need of an urgent update. Breakfaste area is old and worn out and the same with some other areas. Super comfy bed and great bathroom.

Friendly and helpful staff, lovely breakfast buffet, nice smelling toiletries, and pretty interior architecture. I didn’t have time to explore the area as I was just staying the night between my flight into Kolkata and a drive to Durgapur, but it seemed like there were interesting places nearby.

The stay in the hotel was average. We are very disappointed by the overpriced food in the hotel restaurant. The ala-carte food price were exorbitant. We have traveled many places in India and stayed in five star hotels but nowhere we had this experince of overpriced food. Either you take their buffet or pay exorbitant ala carte price. Many people are not fond of buffet food but there were no options but to take it. On a positive note, Rajib in the dining area was most helpful and went over and above his duties. Kudos to him for such a great customer service.

Great hotel, rooms are very comfy (great beds, good bathroom), the breakfast is amazing and the staff is awesome, very helpful and kind whilst not overpresent Would definitely recommend the place

A great hotel, and the best choice for the area by far. The staff were very helpful, especially Rafique, who helped me arrange my train ticket. The only small problem was some noise from the street.

The excellent service provided by the staff at the front desk, restaurant and others stood out for me. The property was well maintained and the room was comfy, clean and spacious! This hotel would be at the top of my list if I were to travel to the city again.
