客室:清潔で設備も新しめで良かったが、ちょっと狭い。日本のビジネスホテルより狭い。基本寝るだけなのでいいけれど、衣類掛けがカーテンの外だったり、荷物の整理をするのに少し不便に感じた。 スタッフ:会わなかった。 ロケーション:大型の駐車場が目の前で便利。地図上はフェリーターミナルの目の前だが線路があり回り込まないといけないので、期待したより時間がかかる。街自体がこぢんまりしているのもあるが、観光スポット、レストラン、カフェ、スーパーなど徒歩圏内にあるので便利。 その他:2泊したが、2日目観光して部屋に戻ってきたら掃除してくれていたようで、机の上に置いておいた水筒代わりのペットボトルが捨てられていた。掃除してくれたことには感謝しているが、Do not disturb の札がほしい。

バス停がありますがそこでは買えないのでcity linkのホームページ上で買うか直接運転手から買うかですが、ホームページでは時刻表も出てくるので便利です。オーバンに行く早朝のバスがあり、そのままフェリーに乗れます。ツアー会社も切符売り場の隣でトレッキングとアザラシを見るプランで自然は素晴らしい。

良くもなく悪くもないホテルでずが、チェックイン、チェックアウト時にカウンターがないので少しとまどいました。

孤独な旅人にぴったりな小さなシングルルームでした。女主人がやっているらしいです。　　その息子君らしい少年が、お部屋の案内などしてくれました。 元気の良いわんちゃんがいて、その名はkeithくん。 朝早く起きてバスに乗らなくてはならずで、その旨を告げたところ、なんと今どき珍しいようなアナログな小さな時計を貸してくれました。 あえてモーニングコールじゃないところが、面白かった。(^^;) あと、朝食良かったです。本当は7:30からなのに、7時くらいにシリアル食べに行ったら、フルスコティッシュブレックファスト用意してくれました。 朝食担当のお姉さんも、本当に感謝です。ありがとう&頑張れケルビンホテル!

Room was very good (Room 19) had a small kitchen in it with dishwasher & fridge. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Bathroom was small but shower was nice and warm. I'd definitely go back.

The hotel was clean and comfortable the furniture was new and in good condition, the bed was very comfortable and bathroom was clean and functional. The member of staff was very welcoming and chatty. It’s an old building and characters are being maintained within it. For what we saw about the town it was good value for money. Very central.

It is a small hotel (you could call it a large B&B) right in the Oban harbor. There is a pay and display parking lot right across the street - £7.50 for 24 hours. The ferry terminal is right behind the parking lot but you can't walk across the train track so you have to go around the block. Lots of stores and bars nearby and the disilois a short walk away. It has a small bar open in the afternoon and evening, and a small dining area for continental breakfast (not included - buy it the night before at the bar). For check in you'll find an envelope with the key on the small table by the entrance. For check out, you leave the key in the same place. Staff was very friendly. Now the catch - the building is old in and out and it shows. Though they keep it clean, it won't look like new. If I remember well, the price was reasonable and this is probably why. All room are upstairs (1 or 2 floors up) so if you have problems carrying luggage up a steep winding stair, this may not be for you.

Well room 5 what a view and a room to go with it staff class bar needs more variety lol but not a problem parking was ok £7-50 for 24 hours all good about the same everywhere room was class and well appointed

No lift and steep stairs not suitable for OAP's. Staff helpful. Old building.

The Kelvin Hotel was wonderful place to stay in Oban. The kitchenette was a bonus and the hotel was close to everything and the staff were gracious and helpful. Would definitely recommend it.

While the decor needed a little upkeep (painters cauk eg) the location and facilities were good for a few days stay. Great views of the ferry port and couldn’t be handier for ferry/ train/bus anywhere

Room was nice and efficient. Having a small kitchen was a plus. Location is next door to the ferry terminal for those visiting the islands, and paid parking was very convenient. The only negative was the shower, which seemed to have only two settings: ice cold and scalding! But we made do ....
