Nice and cozy little room in the mountains! Nice after a long day with your own private bathroom. It’s a walk up the road with your bags since you can’t drive up! Host was very nice and informative.

There was no hot water for bath .Satisfy breakfast

Het guesthouse zelf zag er heel gezellig en gemoedelijk eruit. Onze kamer was ook ok totdat we een nacht in het bed geslapen hadden. Deze was niet meer normaal, zo hard!! En we zijn echt wel harde bedden gewend maar hier kon je onmogelijk op liggen. Volgende morgen overleg gehad met het personeel en konden we een andere kamer krijgen met wat zachtere bedden. Deze kamer was wel veel kleiner en de badkamer was echt klein. Maar beter dan het harde bed. De vrouw die er werkte deed alle mogelijke moeite om ons naar de zin te maken. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en uit gebreid. We kregen een kaart van de omgeving, daar hebben we echt veel aan gehad. Het ontbijt is pas vanaf half negen en de laatste morgen moesten we vroeger weg om de boot te halen, jammer dat er smorgens iemand anders was, want er kon niks geregeld worden qua ontbijt. Deze man sprak ook geen woord Engels. Verder was het een prima plek

The owner was very kind. The breakfast was simple, a few good jams and a couple of pastries, cucumber and tomato, some fruit, eggs, that’s it. The rooms had no A/C or fans, only a fireplace and no nets on the windows so you can’t air the room due to mosquitos. Could be nice in winter but not summer, it was hot. There is a steep walk from the parking lot and it was hard carrying the luggage to the room. The village is tiny nothing much to do except visit other places in Zagori. Come in the spring, not summer, all rivers dry and it was hot.

Fantastic place to stay. Great hospitality and a wide variety of food for breakfast. Dilofo is a cute village with no cars (you have to park right outside of town) and a good base for exploring the rest of the area. Would definitely stay here again.

The stay is very good. Beautiful room and hotel, very well designed and equipped. service is very good and team keen to help. Clean, spacious room, very good service, Wifi very fast, small nice lobby. Excellent Restaurant nearby. An issue is the need to carry the luggage from the car to the hotel. The staff ready to assist. Visitors shall be planned for it and be coordinated with the hotel team for help. The accessibility seems to be an issue for all Unesco World Heritage sites - saying all hotels at Dilofo and other villages where direct car access right to the lobby is not available.

made a mistake in my order. felt that the hotel staff did not do anything to help me out. was very disappointing! Won't consider this hotel in the future

Already before our arrival we have received a personalised message from the guesthouse owners. Upon our arrival, we were welcomed by the owner, who gave us plenty of useful information (map, flyers) and excellent ideas on where to go and what to visit (especially given that we travel with our 6-year-old child). We stayed in a spacious, cosy room. We were offered a small welcome gift (a bottle of local liquor). The place is tidy, pleasant and quiet - excellent to relax. At the same time, Gaia guesthouse is a perfect base for excursions into the region. We were served a truly royal breakfast - one of the best we have ever had in Greece, with freshly-made pies, pancakes, jams and cakes. The owners were extremely helpful: they would call a nearby restaurant and ask about the menu for us, or they would give us some extra food for the child. We highly recommend the Gaia guesthouse and we will surely return there for some more sightseeing.

It is run by Illias & Yota who are wonderful persons and ready to help you with everything at anytime. Ilias is very familiar with places to visit and eat in Zagochoria and can suggest you tour plans that are suitable for you. Both of them are very hospitable and charming. If you need to buy a Greek sim card and a package deal of one of the Greek mobile companies, you should drive to the nearest village of Metamorfosi, where there is a grocery shop under the coffee shop owned by A nice guy name Nikos. He speaks several languages and makes the call with the Greek telephone company until your mobile phone is fully operated.

Gaia is a wonderful place to be in a beautiful area. Elias and Yota gave us a feeling of home, doing everything to make us feel welcome. The rooms are comfortable and breakfast is nice. It is a good place to be in.
