バルコニーに出ると海を感じることができてリゾートっぽい開放感があります。 部屋はやや年季が入っており、設備の古さを感じるのと、香水系の匂いがきついのが気になりましたが、慣れれば問題ありません。 郊外ですが、wifiは問題なく使えましたが、スマホは圏外でデータ通信ができませんでした。 総じて満足のいく滞在でした。

Location and stuff is very nice.

部屋は少し古さを感じますが、広々しており、景色も良く、特に夕日が綺麗で、のんびり過ごせました。ただ、前の人が使ったタオルが置きっ放しになっいたのは残念でしたが、海外ではそんなものでしょう。レストランは、美味しも対応も普通でした。

海が真正面に見える、海風を体全体を味わえる素晴らしいロケーションです。部屋も2ベッドルームとリビングがあり、リビングに窓を全開にすることが出来ます。夕食はレストランを予約しましたが、キッチン付きでしたのでキャンセルして車で10分で程度のスーパーで、フィレステーキとサラダを買って来て、自前で夕食を料理し海を見ながら頂きました。最高でした。NZ最後の夜を優雅に、ロマンチックな雰囲気を堪能させて頂きました。朝食はレストランでいただきましたが、とても美味しく頂きました。従業員のサービスも心のこもった素晴らしいサービスでした。

Great service, beautiful location and an awesome villa

We had a truly wonderful stay at Castaway Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — they were warm, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our visit. Our villa had breathtaking views and was perfectly located near the beach and even a paragliding spot, which made the experience even more special. Waking up to the scenery like that felt like a dream. If you're looking for a true “castaway” escape to recharge and disconnect from the crowds, this is the perfect place. Peaceful, beautiful, and rejuvenating — we can’t wait to come back!

When we arrived, our room had been damaged by a rock hitting the window and therefore were moved to a safer room immediately. When we were settled, the view was amazing, and all we wanted to do was spend time watching the ocean. If you are to stay here and watch the sunset, grab some cheese and a bottle of wine- nothing was more perfect. Everything about this place was perfect. Clean, friendly staff, delicious food, and great location.

Gorgeous space and incredible ocean views!

Castaways does not deserve its 5 stars. It feels more like a standard motel with large rooms and a nice view. The rooms were worn out, the TV lifting system which avoided the TV from blocking the view was broken, both toilets were loose from the floor, one lamp was broken, the windows were very dirty hiding the view that the TV didn’t spoil. The staff in the resection did not show any interest in providing service and just asked us to check with Chat GPT when we asked about some lokal recommendations. The breakfast was also disappointing and had instant powder coffee!

The property is beautiful with an incredible view from the chalet, very calming and peaceful. Breakfast was great but very understaffed in the restaurant at dinner. We waited a long time to be served and then to receive drinks and meals. Lots of tables needed to be cleared of dirty plates. Friendly and helpful people but clearly very understaffed.

Room was comfortable and enjoyable with the amazing view! To get around it is a bit awkward to have to rely on the golf buggies for pick up and drop off. Welcoming staff!
