世界中から集まった若いスタッフが陽気に接客してくれます。 エレベーターはありませんが、力持ちのスタッフが快く荷物を運んでくれます。 レストランは朝食夕食ともに美味しかったです。 部屋のティーセットに名物のジンジャーブレッドが添えてあって、美味しかった！ 真夜中に火災報知器が誤作動するトラブルがあったのが残念。

Beautiful place to stop and enjoy great views of the Lake and take the ferry ride!

We have stayed at The Waterhead Inn multiple times and continue to come back. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay there!

Excellent hotel with friendly staff, great breakfast, a fan in the room to help with the hot weather. Good tea and coffee. Free parking and a great view of the Lake, close to Ambleside and from the room the mountains were clearly visible. Fantastic!!

Great views Good bar area and restaurant

Location is superb. Found breakfast (cereal to be limited choice), but was good and cooked was nice, with plenty of tea and coffee. Only thing I found was bar was slow as there seemed not enough people around

The room was cold. The underfloor heating was not working.

We had a fabulous room overlooking the river. The amenities were great, and the breakfast was substantial.

The building itself needs updating and renewing! The staff were amazing and location is great

Our stay at the Waterhead Inn was even better than expected. The area was perfect - lovely and peaceful (despite it being the bank holiday weekend) but right on the lake, situated just a few meters away from where you can get the boat into Bowness, with 4 or 5 gorgeous beer gardens right on your doorstep. The staff were all so lovely, breakfast was delicious and the room was extremely spacious with huge, comfy beds! Will definitely be returning to this hotel for another relaxing break soon.

A Pub with rooms not a Hotel .. no amenities .. no reception just a woman behind the bar … no porter and not lift had to drag cases up and down 3 flights of stars .. restaurant was bun grub Room very basic bathroom was clean .the room smelt of dogs maybe allocate rooms for dogs only. nothing in the area terrible chip shop .. not worth £100et alone £185 … one highlight good breakfast 👍definitely wouldn’t sty there again or recommend it

Booked a non smoking family room but room was stanched of smoking. Reception came to check and agreed & gave us 2 rooms instead. Overall all staff lacked

Parking space, food available all day, lake across the road, walking distance to the village, excellent helpful staff.

This has been one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Firstly, the limited parking availability was not mentioned at the time of booking, which caused immediate inconvenience upon arrival. And I paid £10 to park at public parking area. More importantly, there was no hot water available in the room. We checked in at approximately 4:00 pm and discovered the issue when attempting to shower. Upon contacting reception, we were informed that the hot water tank had run out and that we would need to wait. We left for dinner and returned around 8:30 pm, expecting the issue to be resolved. However, when my son attempted to shower, the water turned freezing cold after only five minutes. When I raised this again with reception, I was told that nothing could be done and that no alternative rooms were available. Instead, we were given a key card to Room 38 and asked to use that room solely for showering, which I found to be an unreasonable and unacceptable solution. I was particularly disappointed by the lack of concern and empathy shown by the staff. Their response suggested that such issues are not uncommon, which is extremely worrying. This situation has significantly impacted our family holiday, especially as my son felt unwell after being exposed to freezing water. I am also very concerned about hygiene standards. The handling and disposal of used towels and bedding appeared improper, which raises serious concerns about cleanliness and guest safety.

The hotel room was lovely. Couldn’t fault it. Hotel its self is lovely. Nice chilled atmosphere. Where it lets itself down is food. Dinner on first evening was terrible. Chips hard and overcooked. Onion rings hard and dripping in fat. Mussels overcooked and way too salty. Breakfast next morning was lukewarm.

Everything was perfect. A big thankyou to all the staff for making my stay perfect.
