Easy check-in, nice room layout, and very clean. This is an aging hotel that needs a facelift in the bathrooms to replace chipped sinks and tubs to bring it up to support their pricing.

Nice room with lake view, bathtub was not clean and we had a bug/ cockroach crawl across while were in bed!

Great quiet spot. Big room. Overlooking park space. Outdoor patio to sit and watch the birds. Dinner in the hotel has great with a huge variety.

Unfortunately, despite the decent ratings i'm giving them overall, there was a wedding on the night we stayed. This of course is a wondaful thing and we wish the happy couple the best. However we went to Briars to have a quiet night in the country, and if they had told us that our room would be directly above the wedding, in a very old, non-sound proofed room, then obviously we wouldn't have booked it. The noise was so loud that we could not even hear the TV. Better communication and honesty required!!

The room and view was really lovely. The heater made it warm and nice to sit and look out at the ducks and nice gardens. Buffet breakfast was tasty and well stocked. We would def stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Briars. It was lovely and peaceful and the food and ambience were great.
