Nice hotel. Located in the center of Chania, but a bit noisy.

Ellia Bettolio was an excellent hotel, with a central location that made getting around effortless. The service truly stood out — Angela and Manulis at the front desk went above and beyond, and Georgia & her co-worker (sorry name slipped my mind) at breakfast brought such warm hospitality to every morning. It’s the kind of attentive, genuine service that makes a stay memorable rather than just convenient. Highly recommend.

Nice and clean hotel with old town location. Stunning views from upper floors. Breakfast is good and the breakfast terrace is lovely. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Aircon worked well. The only thing that bothered me a bit was the elevator noise that you can clearly hear in the room. Also some noise from the restaurants in the pedestrian street during the evening but that is what you get in the old town location. Would still recommend this hotel.

I do not recommend staying here, despite its prime location in the city center. The air conditioning only works if you very very carefully close all balcony doors and windows (in my case it took one hour and two interactions with staff to get it to work). I am a hotels.com Gold Member, and the free wine was a warm bottle of white left outside in a 28C room without apology. Upon asking for help with a taxi the next day, I was lectured to prebook a day in advance - again, the hotel staff seemed stressed and tense. Not what you want on vacation and for that price!

I really have nothing negative to say about this hotel, or its staff. The room was cleaned daily, with fresh linen and towels. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of cooked and continental items. The hot items could have been hotter, but that is a small gripe. The staff were very efficient clearing tables, and replenishing items. We never got to grips with the coffee machine in our room, but that is probably our fault. The fridge in the room was useful. The location is excellent for the old town, surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants. There was a bit of noise from one of the restaurants one night, but that is all, and it didn't go on too late. The air-con was efficient, although we didn't always need it as it wasn't particularly hot when we were there. The receptionist was a joy, not particularly knowledgeable, but her jolly personality made up for that.

Ideally placed to visit the old town. The hotel was clean, comfortable , with very helpful sraff. Breakfast was very nice - maybe a little more variety when you stay more than a few nights. Would highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely stay there again

Perfect location in the heart of Old Town. Large rooms, lovely breakfast. Parking is reasonably close by.

Hôtel charmant et moderne, très très bien situé dans le centre ville et proche en port. Un petit parking local à côté des halles est d’ailleurs bien pratique si vous bouger régulièrement en voiture, petite impasse du Fresco. Les chambres sont spacieuses et propres, super balcon sur vie de quartier. Petit déjeuner correct et bien diversifié, RAS. Seul point noir l’insonorisation des portes de chambres. Pour celles situées proche de l’ascenseur ou escalier, les clients de l’hôtel s’y arrête pour discuter après le dîner ou avant le pdj, impossible de dormir sans bouchon d’oreille. J’ai partager cette information à un homme à la réception, qui m’a répondu qu’il ne pouvait rien faire. J’aurai apprécié de la compréhension, ou complaisance, l’idée était simplement peut être de rappeler au check in aux différents clients de rester courtois et silencieux ou d’ajouter de la signalétique à cet endroit pour indiquer « zone de silence » par exemple. C’est dommage, l’hôtel est super et l’emplacement aussi.

Huone oli melko pieni eikä matkalaukuille ollut sopivaa säilytystilaa. Vaatekaapissa/huoneessa oli vähän henkareita tai vaatekoukkuja. Käytävän äänet kuuluivat huoneeseen.

Clean rooms and friendly staff

You need to realize that you are located in the middle of the most touristy area, with stores, restaurants, tourists and noise galore. That’s why 4 stars instead of 5

Amazing location, room condition and staff. Very helpful. Great breakfast. Great air conditioning and balcony. My only issue was the scent from the cleaning products.

We had a corner room with a balcony on both sides overlooking the busy restaurant and shopping area below. The room was larger than we expected. The only negative was that there was a step up into the bathroom, which we had to keep reminding ourselves of, especially at night.

Good breakfast, clean rooms and a modern build with a friendly staff. Overall great stay. Only wish a full single bed was provided and not two twins side by side.

Very convenient

Loved this property. In the middle of the action! staff was soooo friendly and gave great local recommendations, especially Areti! One thing was no parking, as this is in a pedestrian area, but we parked at a structure a couple minute walk away.
