The hotel is beautiful. Grounds are beautiful and great views. Room is spacious and very comfortable, but several things missing to be 4 starts like they claim. - kitchens are not to the standard. Not healthy food and not well prepared. - they have a “private beach” that is pretty but not maintained. Is full of duck poo and by the looks never cleaned. - the rooms water boiler was all rusty and was unusable. - a lot of youth being employed, that are not well trained, so not great with guests. I still enjoyed my stay and just didn’t eat there anymore .

We went for a couples getaway and had a lovely time. The resort is clean and cozy. We stayed in one of the Terrace rooms and it was large and comfortable, although decor and fixtures were dated. The restaurants on site were both good and reasonably priced. Golf was nice - also a reasonably priced lovely 9-hole course. Front desk staff were fantastic. I do wish they had a bigger pool area, and a hot tub would be great too after a round of golf. I was also disappointed that the spa didn’t have RMTs for massage. We enjoyed driving into nearby Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon for some meals and shopping and walks along the boat locks. Overall, it’s a relaxed vibe, cozy and clean, although a bit dated, but staff are great and the price is too!

The cottages are always a great place stay. Food is good and we love the course being on the lake.

Food is good. I had issues with the door lock. Getting in and out of the room was an issue. Had to call front desk to open it. Staff are not helpful. Cleaning staff changed the towels but did not replace them. Spa has a pool. They keep the pool area locked even if spa staff are there. Spa staff cannot unlock. Go to front desk. Facilities are run poorly.

We had a very relaxing stay. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Added touches - they provide bathrobes and left delicious chocolate treats in the fridge for us to enjoy. Which we did while sitting out on small patio outside our room overlooking the lake. Our afternoon drink on the pub patio was great - we loved listening the 90’s playlist while we supped local craft beer. Our supper in the dining room was excellent. Only complaint is that there were a Lot of Canada Geese on grassy area leading down to the small beach area. Had to be careful where you stepped!! That’s living in Canada where we have to share some outdoor space with the wildlife!

This property is incredible! Hotel has it all. Big wonderful well appointed rooms, great restaurants and amazing service. At night there are often deer roaming around. The history of the property is also fascinating to learn about. Can’t wait to stay again.

Pillows were awful. Pub food very salty and over priced for quality. Lovely building but needs some in room modernization with outlets.

Room was good. Fireplace did not work right. The towels are very rough, good for back scratcher not comfortable after a shower

I booked myself a solo getaway and absolutely loved my stay. I stumbled across this place by chance and booked on a whim! I'm glad I did.The room was absolutely beautiful, and the view from the terrace was unbelievable. One of my favorite parts was having my morning coffee out there admiring the view and watching the sunset. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious! I also really enjoyed my spa treatment, and the entire spa area was fantastic. So many options to choose from, including various services, the saunas, steam room, and pool. I’ll definitely be returning and plan to make this a yearly getaway for myself. See you next year!

A return visit to Eganridge after a few years (2021 the first time). A lovely stay in many ways...comfortable bed, nice view of the lake from the Terrace rooms...Jacuzzi tub, spacious room and bathroom with separate shower, amenities like bathrobes and slippers...staff very accommodating in arranging a late check-out and holding on to my luggage, since I was meeting friends that afternoon for a round of golf. But the place could definitely use a spruce up, showing its age, especially for the prices being asked.

I recently stayed at Eganridge Resort and unfortunately, the experience did not match the expectations set by their listing on Expedia. The website highlights a private beach and pool, but in reality, the “beach” is just a small, unkempt patch of shoreline that should not be marketed as a proper beach. The “pool” is actually a plunge pool, which is very different from what guests would reasonably expect—this needs to be made clear upfront. The toiletries were very limited and not replenished during the stay, which was disappointing as I certainly wasn’t going to use what appeared to be leftovers from previous guests. Overall, the service and amenities did not align with the price point.
