The room was large, clean and comfortable. The owner was a great chap. The breakfast was excellent including local sausages. Also I had the best night sleep here of a whole 10day trip. I think it was the lovely clean sea air coming in through the windows.

We had a lovely stay at Hill Crest B&B . The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable . Excellent breakfast cooked to your liking. Great host .

Room not clean, heavily stained towels,dirty underwear from previous occupancy left in wardrobe. No mattress protector ,that was also screwed up and left in bottom of wardrobe, toe nail cuttings on carpet.Generaly gut wrenching filth everywhere. Only stayed because it was too late at night to find other accommodation

This was not a B&B as advertised. This was a grim, empty beach house where the owner, who lived an hour away, remotely answered the doorbell to tell guest how to find their keys. The only good thing to say about it was that the owner refunded my money promptly when I frantically was able to find proper accommodations.

Marks breakfast is brilliant for the price however the B&B needs a woman's touch bedding old and tried towels thread pair need new pillows

Check in was great, owner sent a message the day before with relevant details. I left very early the next day so didn't actually get a chance to speak with them in person. Overall the room was nice, had everything I needed. Would happily stay again.

Quaint bnb, run by Mark who is a superb host. Lovely breakfast and the view from our room was stunning. Large bedroom with even larger bathroom. Ideal for exploring Bamburgh

Mark was a lovely host, he gave us suggestions on what and where to go and communication was impeccable! The location was just walking distance to the castle, beach and bus stops so very ideal for us. Breakfast was delicious everyday. All the necessary amenities were available if needed. If you are going to Bamburgh, I would definitely recommend Hillcrest House B&B!

Mark is your best host. Our room overlooked a quiet field occupied by grazing sheep and rabbits....and had a distant view of the sea. The room was clean and the breakfast was first class with locally caught sausages 😋

Mark is super helpful. The bed in the family suite was really comfortable and the breakfast was decent, included cereals, fruit, tea, coffee, fruit juice and the usual cooked selection with toast. The family suite room is well positioned and has sea views from both windows. Bamburgh is easily walkable from the B&B and there are dining options close by. We managed to park outside the property but there’s plenty parking further up the hill if needed. Imagine it’s hard to park at times. Wish we’d known about the benches overlooking the harbour at Seahouses, we’ll be back to enjoy fish and chips there at some point.

Great stay. Just what I needed before my ultra marathon. Clean and close to the start line. Mark was fast with responding to messages and really friendly, even making me breakfast early.

Parking was a challenge...but got a spot. Breaky was good...The proprietor was very nice. There were 3 or 4 Pubs in walking distance. All good...

We liked the clean and comfortable house, and the convenient location. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. Blackout curtains or blinds in the bedroom would be a great improvement, as the thin curtains let in a lot of early morning bright light. (Room 1)

Mark is an excellent host. Good instructions by text on how to enter the property and find your room. Breakfast cooked to order by means of a card filled in the evening before and the time you would like it. Nice quiet location in the busy village, just a few mins walk to eateries, the castle and beach. Free WiFi. Would recommend it to anyone who is able bodied, no lift as is a nice converted private house.

Ideal location- lots of eating places within 300 yards. Good clean room, good breakfasts and very helpful host. Finding a parking space on the street could be tricky.
