The room was not really clean. If I walked barefoot, my feet turned black. I stayed 4 days and my room was cleaned twice. That said the employees were lovely. The motel is .3 miles from the Village and walking distance from everything. The nearby beach is super accessible. I prob would stay there again but maybe bring a Swiffer wet jet.

Literally just dirty… I got all dirty towels. And didn’t stay the night.

This is the best deal in town, family owned business, take good care of property.

10 minutes to down town tons to do and food over all great place amazing price only issue I could hear the neighbors snoring besides that great place

Terrible staff, raccoon in open garbage bin 10 steps from my door, broken tv, bugs, dirty bathroom towels, noise from train horns and nearby construction

Very cute old school motel in an excellent location right by the beach and many restaurants and even grocery stores. Can't beat it for the price and charm.

I had my doubts when I saw the motel due to its age but everything worked in the room as expected and the room and bed was comfortable. It’s just a couple of blocks from the village area so you can walk everywhere.

Will get the job done for 1 night stay. Will honestly just fork up extra money for somewhere else next time. Unfortunately room reeked of cigarettes and was incredibly small as well. Again got the job done since it’s very close to the village but would recommend elsewhere. Also they will not hold your bags for you if you wished to walk around before your flight, huge FYI

This is a small family owned motel. The rep was very friendly. There really are no amenities to speak of. The room was small but clean enough. The bed spread had a burn hole in it even tho it’s a non smoking facility. The queen size bed was ok but not great. The best part of this motel is its location. Walking distance to the beach and to old downtown Carlsbad. The downtown is very vibrant and entertaining. If you can walk a half mile on sidewalks you’re in it! The place is not bad for 100 bucks a night! I just had to remind myself this is a motel not a Marriott or a Hilton!

Close to the beach but not worth the dirtiness!

Location is PERFECT for the beach or just going out in down town Carlsbad! However the room was pretty dirty. Thank god my sister brought her own sheets because there was bodily fluids in the comforter and holes from what looked like cigarettes. We didnt spend much time in the room so it was perfect for a place to rest your head but come prepared.

The staff at front desk did not give full attention when I I was checking in beside he was on the phone just gave room number, key and TV control, no directions to find the room. Location is close to train track. Some cargo train ran through at night.

Most disgusting room ever! The bed sheets were covered with what looked like flakes of skin or crumbs. Pillows had yellow stains on them that they tried to cover with pillow case. Mattress had stains as did bed cover. Checked out within 20 minutes of arrival and will be asking for a refund.

Great staff and service. Location is great and room has everything needed.
