We recently stayed at Spayhiti and were somewhat disappointed by our experience. The main contributing factors for this was the cleanliness of the hotel, the condition of the beach, and the breakfast meals. Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff who offered us breakfast while we waited for our room to be ready. Once we entered the room, several hours later, the garbage had not been taken out from the previous guests and we believe the bedding had not been changed because we saw blood stains on the sheets. Also, our "premium bedding" were two small blankets. (The bed was quite comfortable which was nice). We were hopeful they would be changed in our next daily cleaning, but the trash was not taken out until the end of our 3 day stay and the bedding wasn't changed at all. The entrance of our room smelled strongly of pee, bugs were everywhere, and we saw lots of animal fecies in multiple areas outside of the guest house including the dining area. The beach, being right next to the river, had litter everywhere on the sand and the water. Now about the breakfasts provided - My husband and I both got severe food poisoning from eating breakfast and chose not to eat the next day. When we checked out, we were asked to pay for the meal we had when we first arrived (which we thought was included in our payments) even though we hadn't eaten for one of the days - we felt this to be very cheap of them. The staff were nice, but we would advise others to look elsewhere.

とても良くしていただきました。 部屋は小さいですが十分です。 面している小さな川の匂いが少しします。 目の前のビーチも少し匂いますので、気になる方はすぐ左の小さな橋を渡って右にある小山を超えて 山向こうのビーチへ行けばとてもきれいなビーチです。歩いて5分＾＾ 大きなハマグリがたくさんいました＾＾ ゴールデンライオンから7～8ｋｍ離れてるので、ホテルのレンタルバイクを活用しましょう。

Tosi mukivien saksalaisomistajien keidas keskellä "kiinaa". Loistava mesta. Ranta-alue on vain alle sata metriä, mutta hyvä. Sääli, että kaikki tuhotaan..kiinalaiset rakentavat tien rannan läpi kasinoille !!!! Voi olla jo nyt tuhottu, alkoi meidän ollessa siellä. Nyt jo kaikki on kiinalaista..aivan kaikki..2 kauppaa lähellä, joisss vain kiinalaisia tuotteita ylihintaan. Sihaunokville on menetetty kiinalaisille. Menisinkö uudelleen..varmasti jos mikään ei muuttuisi, nykytilanteen vallitesa en menisi. Kaikkialla rakennustöitä, pölyä, ..ja kiinaa, kiinaa....

Loved every minute of staying here. The couple that own it are lovely people and the staff are brilliant. It has a family atmosphere and nothing is too much trouble for anyone there. It is right by the beach and river. Has a small swimming pool too. I will definitely stay again

Die ganze Umgebung ist eine einzige chinesische Großbaustelle und daher der Ort selbst und die Umgebung (ausgenommen der vorgelagerten Inseln) nicht einladend

Tolle Pension, die besten Betten in Kambodscha die wir je hatten. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, und tolle Auswahl. Terrasse mit gemütlicher Sitzgelegenheiten. Der Besitzer, sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gegenüber liegt ein herrlicher Strand. Keine Frage, wir kommen wieder.

Excellent place run by very hard working German couple. Nothing too much trouble

Sehr bequeme Betten (im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Unterkünften sind sie weicher), gutes (aber ohne Abwechslung) Frühstück, sehr schöner Aussenbereich mit Sitzlandschaft. Netter Empfang und immer da, wenn man Fragen hat. Nicht gut fanden wir die Glastür, die die Toilette vom Zimmer abtrennt. Die Umgebung war bestimmt mal schön. Direkte Strandlage mit guten, aber etwas teurerem Restaurant vor der Tür. Ansonsten nur von Baustellen und Müll umgeben. Dieser Umbau ist aber leider in komplett Sihanoukville zu spüren, indem Chinesische Investoren Casinos aus dem Boden stampfen. Abends ist nach 20.30 Uhr nichts mehr zu machen.

I had booked for 4 people (2 x queen beds) and we were given 1 room with twin beds! A very uncomfortable 3 nights.

Helpful staff and very friendly owners made the stay relaxing. The beach in front of the hotel is a nice spot to chill and enjoy some cold beers.

Great location, very casual and relaxed. We were well looked after, advised of local attractions and offered every assistance.The grounds are well keep, service was great and breakfast overlooking the river was just perfect.

We really loved our stay in Spayhiti. We booked it for one night but stayed there 5 nights. Everything worked so well. Owners and stuff made us feel very welcomed. Our daughter got a stomachflu somewhere on the second night. the owners gave her a medicine and kept asking is she ok. Breakfast is really good and Red curry soup on the menu is really delicious. Hotel pool is good and the beach is right across the street. Beach towels are also included. Afterall we really enjoyed are stay in this little hidden paradise. <3

Food was amazing, owners and staff were great and very helpful. This place is definitely Sihanoukville’s hidden gem

The owners made the stay very pleasent. He took us to beach voleyball and made a very nice BBQ one night. She makes very nice German meat balls and helps with anything you need. She even washed and irond some clothes for free. The beach in front is very nice and get cleaned every morning, also the small restaurants at the beach are good. Overall we had a good time in a nice resort.

My friend and I stayed for 3 nights . The beach is private and clean. Very nice. Breakfast is made to order. I ate omelets and bread also good. I did not try the dinners at the hotel but the hotel next door has very good food served al fresco if you want. Nana was very helpful as were the owners / managers. I would recommend to anyone. Good things for the money.

Kerstin and Gerhardt är mycket välkomnande, utåtriktade, roliga och generösa. Vi hade några trevliga kvällar tillsammans. Deras vänner gillar att hänga i baren och restaurangen, vilket ger en familjekänsla. Alla är välkomna i gänget och allt man ber om fixar Kerstin och Gerhardt. Frukosten lagades av en trevlig fransman från byn och det snålades inte med maten. Närmaste strand är nedsmutsad och vattnet inte så rent, vilket delvis beror på vindarnas riktning. Men går man över kullen till nästa vik finns en lååååång, fin sandstrand fylld med restauranger och barer. Där finns även vattenaktiviteter för stora och små.

Verbrachten eine tolle Zeit. De Inhaber sind bei allen Fragen sehr kompetent und hilfsbereit.

We usually use Expedia reviews as a guide, and frankly, are a bit unsure of why Spayhiti has such a high rating. To be sure, there were some specific issues that may have been seasonal (bugs and construction) but the fact remains our room (and those of other guests) was horribly overrun with mosquitos. Otherwise we found the room pretty basic (no duvet) and with a hodgepodge assortment of amenities. The location of the hotel (a short, somewhat counter-intuitive walk to Otres Beach) is good, but it it feels a bit stuck in the middle between Ochedetchal (sp?) beach (which is really awful) and Otres (which is a backpacker/hostel joint). Overall it was a bit like staying a night with an eccentric cousin - it wasnt terrible but wouldn’t recommend.
