When I booked, I thought I booked a hotel room, however, this is not a hotel it is an apartment in the apartment complex “Eighth & Grand”. There is no place called Tripbz Olive Suites neither does the address, 788 S. Grand Ave exist. The entrance to Eighth & Grand is at 770 S. Grand Ave.
When I called Tripbz at 4PM the day of arriving, the only message I got that check in was at 5 PM. However, I had to wait to 6PM before anybody showed up and I got the key to the room. When, I arrived at the room, there was a note hanging at the door addressed to SC Deal, the company behind Tripbz. It was from a layer, who informed SC Deal that they would be thrown out from the room three days after the date of the letter, which was dated two days earlier than my arrival. I again called Tripbz and asked what was going on, I only got the message that the manager would call me back, that newer happened, but after some hours the note was removed from the door. The following morning the electrical power was disappeared, as well as the hot water in the bath room. This made me somewhat nervous, but luckily, I found out that it was a general power failure in the building. Apart from a fire alarm the next day the rest of the stay was with no problems.
I would strongly recommend that Hotels.com much more clearly indicate this is not a hotel. I will not recommend it when arriving from overseas. The checking in procedure and lack of information is not nice when arriving after 20 hours of travel.
