Very modern, refurbished room, overlooking the beer garden and caravan site. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of goodies in the room, including fresh milk in the mini fridge, and the extra treats you get for staying with a doggo. The bathroom, bed and chairs were all super comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean. I had dinner in the restaurant, and the staff were super polite and friendly. I then really enjoyed my breakfast bap in the morning, the choice of breakfast options and buffet items were brilliant too. The walk along the canal was beautiful too

The restaurant was good ,decor was lovely Staff very friendly Breakfast fantastic ,one of the best I have had Room very basic ,but clean .Maybe not all rooms are the same ,we were room 3. Nice touch with tea coffee and biscuits in room Bathroom very good size Bed was uncomfortable Main issue was no sleep from noise from M6 Needs better double glazing Lovely area to walk along canal after breakfast Real downside ,no sleep

A very convenient stopover which is next to the canal,lovely for a stroll or a dog walk. Finding the reception inside was a little confusing but soon sorted by the helpful staff. Stairs to the rooms are a little steep as this is part of the original building however staff are happy to help carry bags to the room. Our room was clean and looked recently decorated. The small oversight of lack of toiletries was resolved very quickly. Unfortunately the sound of a fan/pump was quite noticeable. Recommend booking a table to eat in the evening as the restaurant was deservedly busy. The breakfast was excellent with a range of delicious choices.

Clean, modern (but not too modern) and well-kept. Bed was comfortable with a great shower. Clearly recently renovated, excellent amenities. Dinner and breakfast both very good!

Absolutely faultless stay! Beautiful clean room, really pleasant helpful staff, lovely breakfasts. Nice walks along the adjoining Marina & towpath. Will definitely stay there again.

Lovely sized room in a great location on the edge of the Lake District. Great breakfast and reasonable rates compared to other places in the area.

What a little gem we found perfect for a winters night stop over great access to walks in the area. Food in the restaurant was fantastic and breakfast equally stunning this morning.

Staff were super friendly and helpful and called before our arrival to make sure that the right type of room was being reserved for us, and then checked in again on arrival day, to see if we wanted any food pre-ordered before the restaurant closed (as we were arriving late evening). Really helpful and thoughtful. The room was super comfortable, clean and up to date. Would definitely stay again, if we are back in the area.

Love staying here

We had a wonderful 2 night stay with our springer spaniel. Great location for canal walks and very quiet despite the proximity of the motorway. The staff really stood out as being friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed every aspect of our weekend there.

Lovely place for an overnight stay. Really pleased we chose it instead of the many bog standard motorway hotels, though it is just as convenient for the M6. Big comfy rooms, lots of atmosphere, great breakfast, lovely staff.

We liked everything about this hotel! On site car parking , friendly staff , excellent restaurant, comfy room - and a great canal walk nearby.

Loved our stay at the Longlands - the property is tranquil and well equipped, the staff is lovely, and the location is really idea to access the Lake District. We loved our dinner at the on-site restaurant so much that we went back the following night.
