朝食が美味しいです。 部屋も広く快適でした。目の前が湖なので、散歩にも最適です 水は温泉水なので少し匂いますよ。

フロントから両サイドに長いので端の方の部屋に当たるとかなりの距離を歩きます。眺めはどこも似たり寄ったりでしょう。ただしオーロラを観るなら北側が良いのでしょうか？私が訪れた時はここへ行く途中で観る事が出来たものの到着してからは雨で観察できませんでした。オーロラを観る為のホテルの立地と建物に思えました。朝食は今回の旅で一番美味しかったです。タイトルにも書いたように日本のようにキチンと準備されていない事に驚きました。新しいボトルを貰いに行きましたが古い空のボトルの取り外し方が分からず自分では交換が出来ませんでした。

5月上旬に2泊しました。 アイスランドには珍しく、バスタブがあるホテルです。日本人としては、これだけでも、Mývatnに来るならここに泊まる価値があると思います。スタッフも笑顔で、今回の旅で一番、素敵なスタッフでした。 ホテルにあるレストランでは、ラム肉やロースリブ、ハンバーガーからスパゲッティまでバラエティのとんだメニューが用意されています。お値段は、アイスランド的には平均かと思いますが、味、量は満足できます。 ただし、朝食は平均的です。 部屋は清潔感があり、快適でした。水は硫黄臭はしますが、飲んでも問題ありませんでした。 総じて、今回の1週間の旅行で泊まったホテルで一番、快適で満足しました。

Clean and comfortable room, wonderful staff, and great food. We had pizzas and beer (including gluten free pizza) and it was top notch. The breakfast spread was also fabulous. Wish we had more time here - what a great oasis in the Mývatn area!

Of all the places we stayed in Iceland this was the most "homey" and friendly. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable and accommodate our needs. They have a sauna/hot tub that they offer which are nice to enjoy after a long day roaming Myvatin. They are conveniently located right across the street from the pseudocraters. Many people from neighboring areas came to our hotel for dinner and they have their own microbrewery with some tasty beverages! There was construction happening on the Ring Road the following morning and we had to leave before breakfast and they were so sweet to open breakfast earlier so we could eat before we left. They also have in-house laundry service and were able to provide us with a quick turnaround time for our stay. We absolutely enjoyed our time here and would recommend staying here if you need a place in Myvatin.

Facilities were great. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast had a wonderful selection. And dinners had a wide selection of choices for the buffett and off the menu.

Great stay!. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the location was perfect for exploring the Mývatn area. I also loved the free coffee machine in the lobby. Overall great place to stay.

This hotel is amazing. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The food at the restaurant was top notch. Their breakfast buffet was above and beyond. Right across the street from the hotel is a hiking trail around the lake. There are at least 3 to 4 volcanoes that you can see. There is an ice cream store beside the hotel that makes all their own ice cream. It was delicious.

We had a good stay at Sel-Hótel Mývatn. When we first pulled up, we were a little nervous because there were midges everywhere outside, but the staff explained that they are attracted to the light, do not bite, and usually do not fly into the rooms even if you open the window. Thankfully, it ended up not being a big issue. The hotel had some really nice extras that we appreciated, including a free coffee and hot chocolate machine available anytime, plus darts and a pool table, which my daughter really enjoyed. The breakfast was amazing and had the most variety of any place we stayed along the Ring Road. There was a waffle station, lots of bread choices, fruit, cereal, yogurt, bacon, eggs, sausage, and the typical European breakfast options. Our room was a little warm at first, but once we opened the window and the staff brought us a fan, it was much better. The beds were okay, and the location near the back of the lake was quiet and peaceful. Overall, this was a good stay with helpful staff, a great breakfast, and a nice quiet location.

Nice hotel near Husavik. We enjoyed the large room and the breakfast. We're staying only for one night and didn't manage to try the rest of the facilities. My only negative is that the maintenance of the rooms could be better. It feels old and has some damage. Other than that, it was a great stay.

😊 Problemloser check-in, Parkplatz war am Hotel verfügbar, sauberes, geräumiges Zimmer, freundliches Personal und super gutes Frühstücksbuffet. ☹️ Als Alleinreisender in einem 4-Bettzimmer untergebracht zu werden, war nicht wirklich gemütlich.
