Absolutely everything was amazing about this place. From the staff who were always friendly, smiling, courteous and always on hand to assist you. The food which was absolutely amazing and the afternoon tea is definitely worth hanging around for. The accommodation (we stayed in the two-bedroom apartment) has clearly been tastefully and carefully designed in to be in keeping with the natural and local environment, whilst being modern. The Li River is a short walk from the residence and Xingping village is a sweaty 30 minute walk or they can hail you an electric ‘golf buggy’ to take you there for 20 Yuan. The latter is definitely an experience worth indulging in. And then there’s the stunning infinity pool with views of the beautiful karst mountains.

The location is spectacular, right amidst the famous limestone hills, but far away from the intense noise on mainstream China. There are bicycles you can ride for free through traditional farming villages. The staff are truly exceptional and conscientious, and the food delicious. The only thing we’d improve is to make the hotel a little more environmentally conscious - replacing the ton of plastic bottles with jugs in each room which could be filled up from a central water dispensary. Otherwise perfect!

The real problem is that the hotel is not located in yangshuo, where i was locking to stay it is located in xingping, because locations in china are confusing , I clicked the expedia map to see the real location and it pointed me to Yangshuo town where I wanted to stay, but the hotel is 1 hour from that town it is located in xingping, it was a bad surprise trying to get transport to that far village late night

Beautiful property with every element thought through. Staff is supper nice. Food is excellent. Location is somewhat remote, but that is exactly what we were looking for. A true China experience!!

Excellent place for a retreat. Quiet, peaceful. Services provided by the ladies are excellent. They are caring, helpful and considerate. I wish I can stay there for a longer time. Thanks to the lady who cooked us noodle at 10 pm at night, and those who checked train schedules for us to return to Guilin. Their free drop off service to the train station was very helpful.
