交通量の多い通りから一つ奥にあり、とてもしずか

年始に夫婦で1泊。せっかくだからとロイヤルスイートのプランにしたが正解。部屋の最適さ、サービス、食事とも大満足。 まず部屋は広さ、しつらえ、設備ともクオリティが高い。唯一の難は格子窓が一箇所ガラスのない仕様で隙間風を感じた点。暖房が十分なので実害はないが驚いた。 サービスは、マネージャーからスタッフまでフレンドリーかつほすぴたに溢れていること。観光時に万が一と携帯を貸してくれたのは本当に心強かった。 料理は3食付きにしたので実質アルコール別料金のオールインクルーシブでコスパが良かった。しかもどれも大変美味しい。 カトマンズに来たら絶対リピートしたい。

This hotel is a beautiful architecture and full of warm hospitality! Especially, the staff of breakfast restaurant were very helpful and informative. I enjoyed staying at this hotel for two weeks except two nights when a noisy guest stayed in the next room. Highly recommended hotel for travellers who would like to experience traditional Nepal culture and warm hospitality.

このホテルはネパールでも有力な貴族であるラナ家が所有していた邸宅でしたが、現在はネパールの多様な文化と芸術を感じられる3つのスタイルのお部屋のある素敵なホテルになっています。 ラナ家の豪華絢爛で洗練されたビクトリアンスタイル、レンガ造と精巧な木彫が印象的なネワール風、そしてネパールでも秘境とされる北方のチベット文化が色濃いムスタン王国風の3つです。どれもとても特徴的で、他民族国家ネパールの多様性を感じられます。 ホテル内にはレストラン、バー、ジム、プール、噴水のある素敵な中庭、屋上のテラスと、ラナ家に関する書籍が充実したおしゃれな図書室があります。 私が泊まったのはバーバースイートという名前で、清々しいペールブルーの壁に白い天井とベルギークリスタルの豪華なシャンデリアが華やかさを添えるビクトリアンスタイルのお部屋です。リビングスペースと、寝室が分かれた贅沢な造りで広さは充分ありました。家具とフローリングは濃いブラウンで、重厚感がありました。この部屋のバスルームはバスタブありです。気になるお湯ですが、蛇口を開けて5分くらいしないと適温のお湯になりません。排水と、おトイレの水洗は問題なしです。タオルは大小用意してもらえますが、水不足で元々のお水が黄色いからなのか、すごくしょっぱい色で、清潔感はまるで無し。寝室はとても大きなベッドで、枕もマットレスもとても快適。気持ちよく眠れました。毎日500mlほどのペットボトルのお水がもらえます。電気ポットもあります。お部屋の鍵は南京錠なので、開け閉めが少々面倒でした。 朝ごはんはとても美味しいのですが、毎日ほぼ一緒です。卵料理は調理方法を選べるので、毎日違う卵料理にしてもらいました。 スタッフの方々はとても親切で、気持ちよく過ごせました。 ホテルの場所は政府機関が集まるエリアにあるため、タメルの様に賑やかではなく、静かな環境です。いくつかのレストランと、イベントスペースを備えたショッピングモールが隣接していて、ネパールの若者のアートを鑑賞したり、伝統のデザインに新しさが加わった魅力的な雑貨を探したりして楽しく過ごせました。 インテリアやネパールの文化に興味がある方には本当にお勧めしたいホテルです。

Thanks to the hotel and the staff there, my first trip to Nepal became unforgettable! And I am very happy that my mom and aunt really enjoyed their stay at the hotel X)) Instead of worldly known five-star hotels, I wanted something more special, traditional and unique experience in Nepal, which had guided me to this hotel. And it really was !! Staff were all very nice, always with smile and fast to meet our requests such as catching taxis, changing rooms(because beds in the reserved room were small for a party of three), checking service details at a massage salon for us, giving sightseeing information, and more! The facilities were very sophisticated, even artistic, and of course clean. Separated from the city bustles, time went very slow there. This time I stayed only three nights but I would rather recommend longer stay like a month. Oh by the way, breakfast, tea time, and dinner at the hotel restaurant were soooooo gooooodd!!!! Thank you for continuous moments of happiness ;D

The hotel was quiet since it was off season but everyone there was friendly and accommodating. It was a perfect respite from the hectic city.

Nice boutique hotel outside the hustle and bustle of the central district. Easy to and from airport and private car can be arranged. Very courteous and pleasant staff. Especially high marks for Menuka at the front desk who was extremely helpful and accommodating. Several food options available within the property itself including a French restaurant and next door great coffee and lunch at Cafe Himalaya Rooms were wel appointed with balconies. Hotel is filled with many artificers and artwork from the Maharaja era. Very cool. Room rates were also quite reasonable and daily breakfast was included. Also, had drinks at the K2 lounge, which were well crafted.

Every one was very courteous and helpful. The person in charge at breakfast was extremely polite and helpful. Gave us excellent service. This is an heritage hotel, older but full of characters. Highly recommended

This property was truly wonderful. We stayed there twice and loved it! The rooms were charming and they fit a lot into this hotel - even a pool and gym. Chez Caroline is attached - amazing French food, and they have a restaurant with authentic Nepalese Thali food and entertainment. They helped us with transportation, and everyone was always friendly and helpful. LOVED it. There are also a few stores attached, including cute gift shops, clothing shops, and a place for mani/pedis. We just loved our stay there and highly recommend it.

Like a small shopping center with good rooms, great service, and three restaurants. A bit far from main shopping area and attractions.

A rebuild of a family palace, it mirrors the European influences on Nepal. However, it is the staff who are helpful on all occasions that makes a stay truly magical

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. It's a stunning collection of architecture from different periods in the history of Nepal. The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout, and the restaurants were excellent

Did not live up to expectations

The hotel is beautiful located in a quieter neighborhood in Katmandu.Anish at the front desk and every employee at the hotel went above and beyond! The restaurant was delicious and the waiters were very accommodating! We enjoyed a wonderful massage at the spa! We definitely recommend this hotel!

We had a lovely stay and week at Baber Mahal! It was our sanctuary in the middle of Kathmandu which is a very high pace city. Staff was lovely and the restaurants on sight were outstanding too Can highly recommend

Staff were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our experience there immensely!! Would highly recommend the Baber Mahal Vilas to anyone visiting Nepal. Top notch service, great restaurants and shops, and a very beautiful property!!
