The hotel offers a wonderful and beautiful view from the rooms, making it a great place to stay overall. However, the building feels somewhat outdated, with issues like poor door key responsiveness and the elevator breaking down several times during our stay. Regarding the restaurant, both the food and drinks were delicious, and I was mostly satisfied. That said, it was a bit disappointing that Corona beer was charged separately despite being in Mexico. While most of the staff were helpful and provided good service, there were a few who were unfriendly and unapproachable. Nevertheless, considering the price of the stay, I found the hotel to be reasonable and satisfactory.

Boutique hotel with some nice touches such as coffee shop, freshly prepared bar snacks and most of the hotel staff. Pool bartenders are very good. However, some of the reception staff in particular one young man needs to improve his attitude. Though a lot of information is on their app it would be nice to have a welcome book/pack in each room, with details such as the hotels restaurants & their opening times, how andbif need to reserve, tv channels available, local restaurants and places to visit. Details on available transport such as taxis, ubers or buses and their costs. Some visitors were given a brief tour of hotel but not all, this should be the standard. The rooms are large, clean and mini fridge restocked daily. Refillable wash products are provided which is good. The hotel in places needs a paint/touch up which is common when on beach front. Beach is okay, sandy but lots of seaweed, which the hotel does try to clean up. The jotel is involved in turtle presevation/protection which is great just wish tourist would respect better. Tours provided by hotel and water activities but worth shopping around. You will be advised to pay in cash and dollars but don't feel pressured 99.9% of all tours accept cards and mexican pesos.

Not Recommended – Terrible Experience for $400 per Night” Review Text: This is not a real hotel – it’s a former apartment complex that has been poorly converted into a hotel, and it shows in every detail. My first room smelled strongly of mold and dampness. After I complained, the front desk contacted me and offered another room, which smelled exactly the same. The entire property is dirty and neglected. The tiles are poorly installed, the elevator is filthy and unmaintained. The restaurant menu is extremely disappointing, more like something you’d find in a fast-food place than a hotel restaurant charging $400 per night. Daily room cleaning is a joke. Housekeeping comes in for a few minutes and does practically nothing. The biggest shame is on Expedia for even listing this kind of property. I expected much better for the price. This was a nightmare experience — I’ve never stayed in a worse hotel and would never return.

Oleo was beautiful. The staff were great. We even saw the mariachis perform during dinner. I love how accessible everything was and how close the buses ran. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family in the future!

Overall a great experience, lacked privacy as in pushy staff and the food was very subpar. Other than that, we definitely enjoyed the stay!

Oleo Cancun was such a great choice! I picked this hotel based on the reviews—and they were spot on. The food was delicious, the service was top-notch, and the beach? Absolutely stunning. I traveled with my husband and our two kids, and from the moment we arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel like VIPs—whether it was keeping our drinks full, checking in to see if we needed anything, or just making sure we were comfortable the whole time. Yes, the hotel is on the smaller side and a bit older, but honestly, that wasn’t a deal breaker. I’ve stayed at large, fancy resorts where the food was disappointing and the staff felt cold. Oleo Cancun was the complete opposite. They greeted us with a bottle of champagne in our room, kept the mini bar stocked daily, and even surprised me with a birthday cake in our room. It was such a thoughtful touch! They were also super accommodating with a late check-out, which gave us extra time to enjoy the beach before heading to the airport. One of my favorite parts? The poolside events! They had paella, BBQ, tacos, and even seafood right by the pool—including ceviche, which many all-inclusive resorts don’t offer. It made every day feel like a little celebration. Overall, Oleo Cancun gave us a beautiful, relaxing, and truly memorable vacation. Highly recommend! I will be coming back. What a great stay.

Small resort with the best beach ever. Great food and service. Amenities are not luxurious but met my expectations for the price. Great place to stay if you do not like huge resorts.

Resort is exactly as advertised. Affordable, simple, clean, and the views are beautiful. The staff was lovely! I really enjoyed my stay here. Would recommend.
