I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Hosts were kind and welcoming, room was cozy and kitchenette was well equipped. They offered us welcome treats and board games were also available. I can definitely recommend to stay this place for several nights. Only thing you should be aware of is, that there’s no restaurants or shops nearby. You must bring your own food.

The garage was an amazing apartment. The room was large enough for my family (2 adults, 2 kids) with fully equipped kitchen. The bed was very comfortable and we slept longer than expected. The view from the apartment is also very nice. In the back side, there is a waterfall and in front side, there is a sea. Only 10 minutes drive to Seljalandsfoss. And the hosts are very friendly!!

オーナーさんの温かさとセンスの良さが表れたお宿。 部屋の細かいところに、オーナーさんのこだわりや趣味、気遣いが光る。 アイスランドには、シンプルイズベストな考え方の宿が多いが、ここは、けっこう装飾されており、それが楽しめる。 設備は文句なし。大きなシンクや、使い勝手の良いシャワー室など、水回りも満足。 景色は申し分ない。窓からは湖（？）が望め、背後にはアイスランドならではの急勾配の山が迫る。寒ささえ気にならなければ、テラスでの朝食は最高。 僕たちが泊まったときは、オーナーさん手作りのチョコレートケーキがテーブルに置いてあった。うれしい心遣い。 あと、遊び好きの犬がいます。雨の中、ボール投げ拾いをして遊びました。

かわいくて、清潔感のあるとてもいい宿でした。周辺に何もないため、食料を調達していく必要があります。 そういった情報も、事前にメールで知らせてくれ、とても助かりました。 裏には滝、目の前には湖とアイスランドらしい自然を楽しみながら滞在できたのもよかったです。

Thw room was convenient and had everything we needed. Hot tub was a great extra perk, the host very friendly and helpful, the homemade cookies on the reception tasty!

Nice suits in a beautiful location. We enjoyed hiking up the waterfall and playing with the dogs. The owners provided fresh baking for guests daily, which was a lovely surprise.

I cannot recommend this enough! Beautiful spacious and clean room! Cooking facilities in the room was more than sufficient. The bedroom and bathroom fixtures/furniture were of high quality. Check in was super smooth - Anna made it super easy to check in after hours. When we arrived, she had even baked some treats which were delicious! The hot tub was such a nice touch - cool air, perfect unobstructed view of the night sky and the warm water - so dreamy. Location was great as well, we went to the diamond beach and back all within the same daylight. We loved our stay. Thank you!

A really fun little property with interesting history. Amazing location and views, everything we needed with the added bonus of a communal sitting/cooking area in reception. Anna made the most delicious cake and it was lovely to have face to face contact rather than self check-in. Very friendly and accommodating hosts.

Highly recommend! We absolutely loved the Garage! The surroundings were gorgeous, and it very easy to find. The property itself was spacious, spotless, well equipped and lovely as well! Check in was easy, and Anna, Siggi and Einar were very helpful both at check in and prior to arriving, sending detailed and helpful instructions. I would warn that this is quite remote, so it isn’t too close to supermarkets. However, this is made very clear in the check in instructions and as such we were well prepared. What made this property really stand out and make this perfect was the little extras that made us feel valued and well looked after. For instance the access to a central kitchen with extra cooking supplies if we needed them, homemade cakes for us to help ourselves to, a funny and informative welcome booklet and access to a hot tub in the most beautiful of surroundings (although we didn’t use this). After our experience here, we were sad that we only booked to stay one night and would definitely come back if we visit Iceland again.

The property is an easy access to the main road. It is full of nature, behind the property is a stream and waterfalls, very picturesque. Checking in and out was easy, plenty of parking and hot tub until late night. Very nice clean studio with kitchen amenities. Anna our host is very friendly and bake goods available for free, also we were greeted by two fur friends upon arrival. Great choice!

Check in was easy and Anna was amazing. Their place felt welcoming and cozy. Wish we had a chance to stay longer. If we are ever in the area again, we will be back. Cannot recommend enough!

Great location, tasty cake, use of the hot tub, well equipped kitchen, lovely and warm apartment (and welcome) and friendly dogs (we didn't meet the cat!)

We made last-minute reservations and loved this charming property. We had excellent communication with our hosts prior to checking in and excellent service once we arrived. Even got a piece of fresh apple cake! We stayed in the Haytower and it was absolutely wonderful, even down to having the northern lights on display. It was by far the best bathroom we’re had all trip.

We had a very nice stay here. Beautiful property. It’s decorated with kind of a grunge look but it’s still nice and clean. They have 2 cute doggies, one of which came right up to my car door to greet me when I opened it. We also got to see the Northern lights here (thank God) which was so cool and beautiful.

Loved everything about our stay! The rooms were clean and the decor was so fitting. We were welcomed by their sweet dogs. Would definitely stay here again.

Goede locatie om de Zuidkust te verkennen. Mooie accommodatie met vriendelijke service! Iedere dag vers gebakken koekjes/cakejes én een heerlijke hot tub!

La mujer que nos atendió fue encantadora, tuvimos un problema con el coche y nos permitió saliar más tarde. Ofrecía cookies casera y la cocina común tenía muchas cosas. Además el pequeño apartamento era sencillamente precioso.

Staying at The Garage in Iceland was absolutely amazing! The place was perfect—immaculately clean, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The host was incredibly responsive and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome (the cookies were such a sweet touch!). The views were out of this world—breathtaking mountains, waterfalls, and stunning Icelandic landscapes right outside the window. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Iceland. It’s a true gem!

This was such a lovely property with amazing staff. Highly recommend, check in and check out was super easy and convenient.
