帰るとき空港までシャトルを予約したところ、時刻になっても現れず、そのとき親切にその予約先に電話していただき、それがこないことが分かり、タクシーを依頼するとすぐ電話してくれました。飛行機の時間も迫っていたので、とても助かりました。

周辺エリアにホームレスが多い。

とにかく全てが洗練されている素晴らしいホテルです。スタッフも親しみやすいし、部屋の管理も完璧。ベッドも柔らかくて心地よく、洗面スペースも申し分ないです。さらにルーフトップバーは地元の方にも人気のようでいつも長蛇の列でした。宿泊者は優先案内なので行く価値ありです。唯一の懸念は周囲が少し繁華街から離れているので、これは外国では当たり前ですが夜道の出歩きにはそれなりに注意が必要です。

Inside the property, we really loved it. Great room, lovely food in the restaurant, brilliant gym facilities. Outside, however, it was awful. It is very much surrounded by areas of homelessness and I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere by foot from the hotel, Uber/Lyft only. I felt really unsafe when going through these areas.

The hotel itself is very good – the staff is friendly, the rooms are comfortable, and the rooftop bar is a real highlight. However, the location is a major issue. The hotel is situated right across from the Civic Center in an area heavily affected by homelessness and visible drug use, which significantly impacted our experience. While the hotel has security at the entrance, stepping outside means encountering many individuals openly using drugs or in visible distress. Sadly, this made us feel unsafe, especially during the evenings. We ended up wanting to spend as little time outside as possible and left with a very negative impression of San Francisco as a whole. This is not a reflection on the hotel staff or service – both were excellent. But I would strongly recommend choosing a hotel in a different neighborhood if you want to truly enjoy your visit to San Francisco.

Unfortunately the area around the property did not feel very safe. We saw people shooting up in the street. The room itself had hair on the nightstand and sheets and bathroom counter. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t enjoy the rooftop for the one night we were there because it was closed off for a private event and the next day we found out it didn’t open until the evening after we left. We called the front desk for ice because there is no ice machine and it took an hour. Overall for what we paid we would’ve been better off paying way less and getting the same if not a better stay

this Hotel is a real jewel 💎. Staff and accommodations are top notch all that to say we checked out earlier than planned and moved to another hotel due to the Hotel being in a very rough area of downtown and we were not comfortable walking anywhere outside the hotel.

Lovely stay

The gentlemen working the front desk, Gabriel, was incredibly accommodating.

The only thing I liked about the hotel was that it was a short walking distance to the Orpheum Theater and that we got to check in super early. The main issue we had was the way they ran the hotel. We ordered room service that never arrived and the phone in our room didn’t work. One of the waiters at the restaurant was really rude when we asked a question. I honestly don’t think we will stay here again.

Property is amazing. Unfortunately SF has become a homeless zombie apocalypse of a city. It's gross. Honestly, someone needs to do something about it (Newsom... where are you???). You'd be insane to walk around alone at night. Hotel though, awesome. 5 star all the way.

Terrible checkin process and very poor customer support

The Proper is our favorite hotel in Downtown SF. We visit frequently. It’s whimsically stylish, clean and quiet. The beds, bedding and shower are very nice. It’s close to entertainment venues and Villon is a very good restaurant. If you know SF, Market St is what it is, but the hotel feels safe.

The hotel itself is super cute. The rooms are modestly sized but have a really cool decor. The rooftop bar / space is wonderful. The staff was helpful and the room was clean upon arrival. My only complaint about the hotel was that they nicked me $110 for valet parking. Ouch! Seems unreasonable for an overnight spot. The area around the hotel is filled with homeless, drug addled zombies who have no respect for the city. Definitely not safe to walk. This is unfortunate because the hotel is in a great location for enjoying Union Square and a couple of great venues for entertainment close by. Not much the hotel can do about this, but SF needs to do a better job of cleaning up the area.

Rooftop was amazing. Ambiance was incredible view of the city. Hotel room was clean, very funky architecture and design and all the breakfast. Yum Yum Yum we will be back soon.
