Staff is amazing

Old …very old ! Our bathroom wasn’t clean and there was hair in our bed . The staff were lovely but it’s time for this hotel to come up to 21st century for decor ! The main foyer was good but the room was like stepping back in time, right down to the red light in the shower.

On our 3rd night (Friday) we were blessed with a stampede of children, older enough to know better, using the corridors as a running track. A number of us complained to reception, they said the noise would stop at 10pm, considering it was only 7pm we suggested this was unacceptable and the parents/teachers be informed, wherever they were? If a manager was available on site or by phone this could have been upgradable to a health & safety issue. Elderly people exiting their rooms would have been in serious danger. Other than that, the hotel title of resort is completely misleading. The car parks were in serious need of attention, everywhere was covered in grit. The rooms feel grubby and in need of refurbishment. Unfortunately my advice to anyone thinking of staying, is, move onto the next town.

It was easy to get too. And it was very clean, parking lot was cleaned.

Stay away, this place is very dirty. We had two different rooms as we complained about dirty sheets and the second one was just as bad. Luckily Expedia managed to get us a refund but I would never go to this hotel again.

I am not happy having to give a credit card for them to place $100.00 on it for so called incidentals. We have been told that this charge will be reversed in 7 days or longer. I will not be happy if I have to call them and chase this. Who’s making on this? Other than the above friendly staff clean room no other issues.

Old hotel. No elevator. Creeky floors. Old woren carpets

Building is older but once inside it was clean and pretty much up to date. Very close to Trans Canada Hwy.

Clean room but quite small. Good enough for a stop over.

I like that there was a breakfast. This was not included. Staff where friendly and helpful. The property is a little older. Using the word resort may give the impression of a fancy place which it is not. Overall I was satisfied.

Internet search indicated the bar/pub was open, however it was not requiring leaving property for a late dinner.

Good for what I needed for one night

This hotel was clean but tired, needs some renovation and redecorating. No fridge in the room. And fan in bathroom didn't work properly. The restaurant was good and staff was friendly. It was ok.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Having a pub/restaurant was convenient and the menu was good value. The property was older and the rooms need to be updated with sufficient plugs and sockets for today’s devices. Bathrooms small for a family room with kids making it cramped and awkward to manoeuvre but serviceable.

the hallways and curtains dirty , bed was fine, breakfast terrible - 3 mornings of frittas -please tell them to give another choice.

The hotel has seen wear and tear. The hallways could use better lighting and smells of carpet deodorizers. The building is starting to look shabby and dated. The room is adequate with a good bed and pillows. The staff was helpful and courteous. Check in was easy. For the price during our holiday we got better experience in the overall quality and maintenance of the hotel for less money in Newfoundland including St. John’s.
