Bernardo and his staff made our three nights stay at this family run Hotel magical. The views of the Doro Valley and the river were nothing short of breathtaking. We felt like we were on a movie said it was so spectacular. Bernardo and his staff treated his last family and spoiled us. Everything from the food, the wine, the fruit plates, and picking cherries off the tree were moments of memories we will never forget.

Otroligt trevlig ägare, Bernando och personal. De var så hjälpsamma och delade gärna förslag på aktiviteter och bra restauranger i området. Vi hade även en fantastisk middag runt deras stora bord med övriga gäster. Fantastiskt ställe. Hit kommer vi återvända. 10/10.

5 stars are not enough for this extraordinary place. From the moment we arrived, Bernardo made us feel like family. The view is magnificent. The family style meals are delicious. All of the staff exhibit gracious hospitality and go out of their way to create a memorable experience. Highly recommend.

Vi skulle overraske nogle venner på stedet. Hotellet spillede med på spøgen fra start og hjalp tol med at kunne gennemføre overraskelsen. Vi kunne ikke have gjort det uden Daniel og Paulo. Derudover er det et fantastisk sted som vi har hørt om i mange år. Og det skuffede bestemt ikke. Lokation, personalet, udsigten og fællesspisningen gorde vores ophold mindeværdigt.

The homestyle dinners were delcious and it was nice meeting fellow travelers. The bed was co.fortable as was the room.

Fantastic stay with My Mum for a special birthday. The location, accommodation, food options, walks from the property and swimming pool were all outstanding. The best bit however was the hosting provided by Daniel and Paulo. Immediately made to feel at home with friendly characters and always on hand to help with any queries or requests. I would return happily!

This is one of the best places I’ve ever visited in my life! The property and staff were excellent! Family style dinners were beautiful. I will never forget my time at Casa de Casal de Loivos.

This place understands what hospitality is. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as if it was our home. Our bags were taken to our room and we had a welcome drink on the terrace overlooking the spectacular Douro Valley. We joined other guests for a family style meal and enjoyed getting to know people from many different countries. Amazing place to relax, appreciate the area, with a wonderful team to help with questions and make the visit super comfortable.

Casa de Casal de Loivos is a magnificent property with glorious views, comfortable rooms and excellent service. Bernardo's family has owned the property for generations and both he and the staff take great pride in taking care of their guests. We took long walks through the vineyards, did a wine and olive oil tasting and enjoyed dinner with the other guests. Big thank you to Daniel who brightened every day with his jovial personality and to Bernardo for his excellent suggestions of things to do in Porto. This was the favorite stop of our weeklong visit to Portugal.

Everything about this place is beautiful!! The staff is a joy apart! The shared dinner was delicious and delightful. Will be coming back soon.

We had a wonderful two nights here. The warmest of welcomes and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is wonderfully located for a quiet trip enjoying the spectacular views and outdoor space & pool. The room was basically appointed but comfortable and had a/c. Meals were delicious and it was a very different experience to sit around the table with other guests from around the world. Great wine and port selection too
