The reception team were very welcoming, and took us to the room filling us in with what we needed to know. Great breakfast, a delightful breakfast team with an excellent selection, and fresh local produce. Hotel parking was easy, location for the castle and town good. Would we go back, no question about it, afternoon tea, evening meal overnight stay, we will be back

Outstanding property, well decorated and furnished, very well maintained. Everything that was needed and more in the bedroom including delicious cookies. Staff most welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with good choice - including Craster kippers!

The Staff were all amazing, very friendly and efficient. The whole hotel was spotlessly clean, the bed was huge and comfortable. We were very grateful for the water and the cookies in our room All in all a very pleasant stay!

The room was a great size. It was spotlessly clean. Very tasty complimentary cookies in the room which was lovely. Breakfast was wonderful. Extremely friendly and helpful staff too. Location was perfect. All in all, an extremely lovely place to stay.

Fantastic comfortable hotel - Lovely, tastefully decorated rooms which were warm, cozy and spacious . The staff were fantastic and friendly and extremely informative and helpful . We enjoyed our meals in the bistro including breakfast in 3 mornings and an evening meal - the food was delicious and every attention to detail was given. We were very impressed with all aspects of our stay and will definitely book again when back in Northumbria!

We stayed in The Chapel - it was breathtaking! Incredibly high standard of finishes, decor and furnishings. Modern and luxurious within the historic frame of the building and it's facinating history. Staff were super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We'd have no hesitation staying again and highly recommend The Cookie Jar if you're looking for a memorable overnight accommodation experience anywhere near Alnwick.

Lovely little hotel within a 2 minute walk of Alnwick Castle. Staff all very helpful and friendly. We had St Cuthbert’s Cave room. Very spacious - with a claw foot bath and enormous shower in the bathroom. Lovely home made cookies left to enjoy with the tea and coffee provided. We stayed 2 nights and ate in the restaurant on one night.

Pleasant staff and clean comfortables room

A lovely boutique hotel very well located to the town centre and next to the castle. Room was comfortable and tastefully decorated, with a nice en-suite. Great cooked to order breakfast! Staff were excellent.
