Lovely comfortable B&B with a very friendly owner. Our bedroom was perfect...comfortable bed, large clean seperate bathroom with a roll top bath overlooking the garden & countryside beyond. We had fresh milk for drinks, kept in a mini fridge & a wide variety of drink choices. We enjoyed chatting with Martin, one of the owners. Parking is on the roadside...plenty available. The town is easy enough to walk, but there is also plenty of parking available in Castle Cary, the interesting local town.

A very comfortable stay in a lovely guesthouse, well situated in Castle Cary. The hosts gave a very warm welcome and we appreciated their local knowledge and tips. Breakfast was exceptional with a great variety fresh fruits and compotes, as well as homemade granola and pastries. All in all, one of the best stays we’ve had. Highly recommended.

Melanie & Martín are excellent hosts and their accommodation offers very thoughtful amenities far exceeding those at normal lodgings. Breakfast time was an opportunity to enjoy shooting the breeze with the hosts and other lodgers, and the range of home-grown and home-made preserves and other fare was truly impressive. Martin and Melanie are lovely hosts. B&B is a short walks from local pubs. The sunday lunch in the George was excellent. Breakfast around the kitchen table with the other guests was a real treat. As was the various fruits from their garden. Easy travel to numerous places including Stourhead and the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Great hosts highly recommended.

Fabulous guesthouse. Hosts Martin and Melanie are so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely top floor room overlooking the beautiful back garden and fields.beyond. seperate big bathroom across the corridor for our own personal use with a lovely roll-top bath in the middle. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless. It was extremely hot when we were there but Melanie kindly provided a fan for our second night. Our hosts also provided an amazing continental breakfast with homemade preserves, granola, figs from the garden, croissants and other standard items. Conveniently located for a walk to town (10 mins) and a pub with good traditional food (1 min) and beautiful country walks on your doorstep - our dog loved it too. Would definitely recommwnd to others

The purpose of my stay in Castle Cary was to go visit the Newt in Somerset.I was warmly greeted and thanks to Martin’s lifts to and from the Newt made it so easy.the house is amazing.the garden backs unto fields.It is idyllic. I recommend this B&B to anyone who loves a beautiful setting

Very friendly B&B in the more traditional sense of staying in a welcoming home. Great breakfast in the family kitchen warmed by the Aga. And I wholly recommend the eggs, especially scrambled on sourdough. Delightful and would happily stay again - and especially to pet Willow the dog.

A lovely stay with Martin and Mel. The room was comfortable and clean with a lovely view of the countryside. The breakfasts were lovely with the added conversations at the kitchen table! The location was fab for exploring Somerset.

Absolutely beautiful B B run by great owners, who serve up a the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. Local pubs are amazing selling great food also! All the shops you will need and a beautiful 10 minute walk up a hill behind the B B to take in the view of the surrounding area. Perfect Stay.
