Nice, clean but not comfortable.

Unique and special

Hostess was excellent. We werent able to stay for the including breakfast so she made us sandwiches to take hiking for thr next day. Room was clean and the jacuzzi was absolutely perfect after days of walking up and down the hills. Parking was super convenient because we parked right outside the door. Restaurants and bars were in close vesinity too.

Un alojamiento muy singular nunca me había encontrado alguno así, tiene un jacuzzi enmedio del cuarto, las camas para el tercero y cuarto ocupante son bastante incómodas. No hay lugar para poner nada en el cuarto. La atención es de primera, te reciben con una copa de espumoso y panque y en la mañana te envían al cuarto un variado desayuno. Como experiencia muy buena sobre todo nsi solo van dos personas.

This is likely one of the most unique places I’ve stayed. There was a hot tub in room that was a bit loud while heating up but a funky thing to do while you watched tv, the room is cut into the rock and called the cave. My husband enjoyed the steam shower feature the most. Many stairs to get to room. The staff were so welcoming with a welcome drink and departing gift. Breakfast was delivered to your room and included fresh fruit. The hotel is conveniently located next to university and about 1/2 mile from River. That half mile is down to the river- so expect to get your steps in but although it seemed daunting there are many ways up and down with restaurants and bars along the way. I recommend checking this place out.

Very antique environment

I loved the hosts first off. And the spa tub looking at the TV was amazing. Safe area (a little steep streets if you have issues walking, but that's true of the whole town. :)) I loved Coimbra.

Staff and rooms were amazing. Not a lot to do in the area though.

What a charming and unusual place! The eclectic decor and the whirlpool bath in the center of the room make this place absolutely unique. Carina's welcome was exceptional. All the little touches and treats made us feel truly privileged. Everything was done to accommodate us, from validating our parking to looking after our suitcases until check-in.

Nearly impossible to get to unless you’re a Billy goat but SO worth the effort. It is like staying in your own private castle with a king bed! A very special place to stay that you will remember for years to come.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay here. The hotel is in a great location near the old city and university and the hotel itself is beautiful and well cared for. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful.

We will always remember our night in our unique and beautiful suite! The photos are beautiful but don't even begin to show what a fun relaxing and comfortable place this is. We had a wonderful experience with our thre 20 something year old "kids". The greeting with a bottle of bubbly and a snack was fun! The breakfast delivered right to our door was healthy and ample. We loved the spa and slept well. We were just a short walk from the Coimbra campus. Thank you!

Quite a unique room, very cozy. Fantastic staff!

What a hidden gem in Coimbra! My family were totally surprised and enthralled by the room, which had a hot tub and a Turkish bath! The staff were amazing and delivered champagne and cake upon our arrival and a lovely continental breakfast the next morning. The toilet room is very small and mind your head on the ceiling if you are over 6 feet tall. However, the ambiance made up for this little flaw.

Excellent stay right in the middle of the historic town. Would recommend. Our kids loved the room and Turkish spa amenities!
