Our first impression with the staff was unexpected! We’d just arrived to drop off our luggage and the gentleman at the front desk offered to take our luggage to the room as we were crunched for time. A cab was waiting to take us to Highclere. Our room was cozy, clean and exceptionally stocked with clean towels, tea kettle, delicious coffee and tea. Dinner was great, with plenty of beer and wine options. Breakfast was outstanding along with the cafe latte and flat white. If we ever travel to this part of England again we would certainly stay at the Bourne Valley Inn

Have previously stayed at Bourne Valley Inn and enjoyed it for a visit to Highclere Castle. However this trip which was again for a Highclere event was spoilt as the room was cold and damp. The bedding was similarly damp and water was running down the windows. The Management immediately agreed a full refund and tried to arrange alternative accomodation locally but it was so busy we could not even get into the car park. We went home very disappointed.

Friendly staff. Quiet room, good facilities, comfortable bed. Good food. Needed tidying and repainting in some areas. Too much litter lying around outside.

The location was great only a 10-15 drive to Andover. The property is lovely, has a really comfy, cosy feel to it. The beer garden is lovely. The staff are super friendly and I believe the manager or owner is very friendly and welcoming. Only downside was that we stayed during the heat wave and as it’s an older building there’s no air conditioning. They were kind enough to put a fan in the room but was very hot and the bathroom for very stuffy as the extractor fan wasn’t the best. Otherwise a really really lovely stay

Absolute gem of a find! Beautiful Inn, friendly staff. Great menu and the food was amazing! Would definitely recommend and look forward to returning

Only two words of advice - stay here. The staff is super helpful, the rooms are comfy, and the setting is beautiful. Enjoyed a lovely walk on the trails leading from the Inn past farms, a pond, horses. Met the most delightful locals along the way. Clean and comfy with a delightful "pub" restaurant.

Handy place to stay. Great food, was told no need to book, but ended up in the function room on my own! Awful noise from some sort of fan throughout the night, handy they supplied earplugs!

Very tired rooms for the price

Rooms and hotel are in need of refurbishment ,room was very basic with noise heard from other rooms. Lighting in the rooms was poor very dark. Could not fault the effort from all staff and the food was excellent especially breakfast very good value for money

Wonderful stay in a beautiful old inn. Very clean, comfortable, and friendly. Loved the pub and yard. Would definitely stay again!

The whole experience was excellent from the moment I arrived. Will definitely book again for next xmas

Lovely location building is a little tired and cleanliness poor

Very nice hotel, comfy bed, food was great! Great location. Only 1 thing, there was a loud humming noise all night which kept me awake.

An historic inn next to an old English thatched cottage village.

The staff were fabulous, parking easy, shower powerful and the breakfast was excelllent. The rooms are tired, the bed was very soft and lumpy and the walls and ceiling paper thin. The lovely staff made up for some of the shortcomings.

Staff very friendly and went over and beyond, especially Emma. Wasn’t keen on the cooked breakfast to be honest, bacon was streaky and very crispy and only an egg cup of baked beans but lovely cup of tea

Nice place, very friendly staff, good food but noisy plumbing made for a poor nights sleep, which is a shame

No heating in the room, radiators not working. I made the staff aware around 19:30pm and nothing was done. Stone flooring didn't help. Terrible sound proofing from the room next door and above

The rooms need repair and renovating. Noisy rooms from neighbouring rooms, toilet flushing can be heard from all the rooms. Dog friendly pub and rooms so dog hair every where, cobwebs and damp damaged walls. Stained beds.

Lovely country pub. Would stay again. Recommended.
