The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. There was barely a tablespoon of yogurt with the granola, and the toast was cold and hard like rusk. The location itself is beautiful.

This is a great place to stay. The staff are super friendly, the food was good and the room is spacious and well appointed.

Very comfortable room, with lovely toiletries and more than enough tea/coffee for our short stay. Shower was powerfully and loads of hot water. Bathrobes are a lovely touch and bath towels were big too! Food was delicious, the full English definitely hit the spot.

Had a wonderful experience here. Everything was spotless and the people were so friendly and welcoming.

We stayed here some years ago, and enjoyed it so much we came back. This time was even better: the food was excellent, the room very comfortable, and everyone really helpful. We'll be back again!

Had a lovely warm welcome and explained everything clearly upon arrival. Room was in the main building and had so much character. Bathroom was huge and stylish. Breakfast was good on the whole and checkout was easy.

Really lovely accommodation just a short drive from the centre of Oxford. Very welcoming on arrival and room was of a very high standard. Highly recommend.

We visited just for dinner, one night stay and breakfast. Room vas clean and comfortable, food was excellent and all the staff were very friendly. Will definitely return if in the area.

An absolutely beautiful authentic old inn. 10/10 on character. We had our dinner in the pub below and the food was amazing. We can't say enough good comments about this inn.

What an amazing find! This is a lovely old pub with character. Our room was terrific with a really comfy bed, great shower and tea/coffee making facility. Even the hand wash and lotion smelled amazing! The food is a little pricey but you certainly get what you pay for where taste is concerned. We'd totally recommend the beef and ale pie which was the best we'd ever had. The pub is about 10 minutes from Parkway park and ride which is great for avoiding congestion charge and city centre parking. All in all, we had a fabulous weekend and would highly recommend this pub.

Very nice breakfast. A few age-related areas of wear and tear in the room (mould, cracks etc) but to be expected of an old property. Dinner menu was excellent.

We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. Shown to our room, which was very nice and cosy. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed a drink to go with it. Overall a very enjoyable overnight stay. I would recommend that if you are looking for a place to stay then you should try here.

The staff are always very welcoming and accommodating here, and the food is lovely. Perhaps some of the rooms are looking tired??... Or conversely is it just patina 😇... Which ever way you look at it, they are always clean, comfortable beds and pillows, and plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room... Thank you staff for another enjoyable few nights stay...👍

Perfect location to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Main bar and restaurant area has a great atmosphere, with an extensive menu. Great food.
