Clean and tidy. Not too modernized decoration. Slightly dated facility but well maintained. Spacy room. Peaceful and quiet small village. Not very frequent public transport.On top of all very organized and friendly staff and brilliant restaurant.

Everything about the hotel was clean and well organised. The thing that really set it apart was the professionalism and friendliness of ALL of the staff we met over the 8 days we stayed. The evening meal was perfect and plenty of it, really great value.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Dinner and breakfast delicious. The first night the bed was too firm for our liking so I informed the receptionist and our room was immediately changed without any fuss or trouble. Great location for exploring Marlborough. Devizes and Swindon.

The room was excellent. Keeping me on breakfast were both very good and served in a most friendly way. The staff for all very friendly efficient and helpful. We would certainly visit again but would maybe ask for a slightly different room with a more comfortable mattress. This though, is purely a matter of preference.

Nice size room and ensuite bathroom. Excellent dinner and breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only negative we happened to be staying night of a party with loud music with constant bass throbbing!

Superb service, very friendly staff. Amazing room that was very spacious. Hair dryer a bit old, but that is about all I could find that wasn't perfect.

Great staff on reception and night manager, clean room, good value.

Staff were excellent, repeat excellent - room location was in the roof accessed from almost dangerous stairs.. Room was cold and towel rail did not work. TV was freeview that did not enjoy a good signal. Could not book a room direct with the Hotel but had to go through an agency. Bar was very expensive.

It is our go to hotel in the area.

Room was surface clean but lots of dust ( eg behind bed, on tops of sockets). Decor is very tired and needs updating - mould on blinds, rips, in curtain linings, severe calcium build up in bath and toilets - uneven floors. No hairdryer or conditioner in bathroom.No usb charging point for phones. Would have been a poor review but the staff were superb and the food was good which rescued the review overall.Price point reflected the general condition. Was OK for a short stay. I would stay again because staff and service was top rate.

Delicious breakfast served by pleasant staff in a spacious dining room. Easy parking. Lovely setting. We will be coming back!
