部屋の鍵の施錠にコツがあり苦労しましたが、料理はとても美味しく良かったです。

このホテルはできて間がないのだろうか、すべてが新しいきれいな施設。 部屋の窓からは川と対岸の山々が望める、最高の眺望。 スタッフも、親切で、気持ちがいい。 そして何よりオススメなのは、露天温泉があるところ。 家族風呂のような大きさのものが2つ、設えられている。 湯に浸かりながら景色を眺めると、もう言うことはない。 この温泉に入るだけでも、泊まる価値がある。 朝食では、一人ひとりにオムレツを焼いてくれる。 街から少し離れているがゆえに、実に静かで落ち着いた滞在を約束してくれる宿。

Absolutely gorgeous place! Room was spacious with wonderful views of Lagarfljót. Staff was welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. I stayed 3 nights and was sad to leave. Highly recommend Hotel 1001 Nott!

Das Hotel liegt etwas ausserhalb und ist daher total ruhig gelegen. Das letzte Stück Anfahrt über ca 300m Schotterpiste war zunächst etwas abenteuerlich. Aber dann: Die Aussicht über den großen Lagar fljöt See ist phenomenal. Ein Spaziergang zum Ufer und Wasserfall entschleunigt und ist wohltuend. Die Zimmer sind hell und groß und haben einzeln Zugang von aussen. Die Betreiber sind sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Frühstück wird sehr liebevoll in kleiner Buffetform präsentiert. Für die Bewirtung im hauseigenen Restaurant geben die Gastgeber wirlklich alles. Die Karte ist nur sehr klein. Aber alles wird liebevoll und nett zubereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Hot Tubs mit Blick über den See sind fantastsich. Das 1001-Nott war eines unserer Highlights auf der 3 wöchigen Island Rundreise und bekommt eine Empfehlung ausgesprochen

It was worth the travel. Very nice hotel and restaurant. The surrounding areas are beautiful too.

Room was very spacious, when we arrived the staff helped us to our room and gave us plenty of recommendations on things to do in the area. We walked the property and it was very well kept - beautiful views on both sides. Breakfast was delicious, lots of options to choose from. Would highly recommend!

Hier hat alles gepasst. Großes, sauberes Zimmer, aufmerksames Personal, sehr gutes Frühstück. Vor allen Dingen ruhig. Perfekt zum entschleunigen. Würden wir wieder buchen.

Das Zimmer war super Sauber. Das Personal sehr nett, das Frühstück und Dinner hervorragend.

Helpful staff and fantastic breakfast.

Attentive staff, quiet space, lovely stay

Rooms all have their own entrance from the outside, which means they all have a glass wall for the front facing either mountains or the lake. The curtains are good quality, both sheers for privacy and the blackout curtains which worked well. The room itself is one level with no barriers to the bathroom or shower. If you use a walker or a wheelchair let them know; some of the rooms have a paved path from the lobby and some are mulch/dirt. There are 2 hot tubs overlooking the lake, very scenic. The surroundings are lovely. Beware, the GPS in your car may tell you to go down a logging road if you're coming from Egilsadir. Do not turn unless you see the flags at the end of the road advertising the hotel. The breakfast was included in our fee and was very generous in a nice dining room. The room had a coffee maker and a fridge. We did not try the restaurant for dinner but if breakfast was any indication I'm sure it was good.

There is a particular staff Daniel is very helpful , caring and went out to check on guest well being which is hard to come by and we felt this is a very positive attitude and this staff needs to be recognised . However , there is no housekeeping service provided despite I stay for 3 days and 2 nights and have to pay for coffee capsule , coffee mate powder , and sugar when we request these items on my 2nd day of stay which is so astonishing we were all taken aback by the lady staff firm voice on the payment !! We would have given a 5 star rating should this lapse not happened and it’s Daniel excellent service that we gave a 4 star. There should be proper check and control before any communication is done to the guest and what’s done cannot be undone and it’s never good not only to the properly but the guest will not a good impression and pleasant stay .

Beautiful Views of the lake and surrounding area. Staff was friendly. The owners Mrs. Christine and her Husband, who is the dinner time chef were very kind. The food at night was good. Breakfast was very good and the morning staff was super nice! Little bar for drinks in the lobby. Sitting area and restaurant in main building. Rooms had a full glass window wall and door (with black out curtains) to enjoy the view. Refrigerator, work desk. Sitting chairs and a table. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great. 2 outdoor hot tubs on the property facing the lake. I would stay here again. Thank You ROD N.Y.

Great room, clean space, comfortable bed. Restaurant was excellent. Food was super fresh and delicious. Water in room never got very warm and had a slight smell.

Overall not a pleasant stay, especially for the price paid. The room was basic and dated, neither the door lock nor the television were working (the latter seems to apply for every room as a note was left that although a screen is installed it is not usable). Breakfast was included but in terms of quality and variety not comparable to other accommodations we had in Iceland. The location on the lake is nice, the staff was friendly and the hot tube might be inviting, but the quality of the rooms, common area, and breakfast could not convince me.

Dinner was excellent, staff were very friendly and helpful, hot tubs were perfect, rooms were clean and had a beautiful view. Perfect stay!
