Staff were friendly and accommodating. The property has some very interesting art and was clean and tidy. Area was very quiet too

The owner is exceptionally courteous, he was always polite when speaking to me and helped me and other guests with luggage. . Clean and comfortable. No television in the room. No kettle etc in the room and the owner made me a drink when I arrived.

The description of the accommodation and service provided was quite misleading; the property feels old and tired, it does not appear to have been “upgraded regularly” as described. Parking is very difficult, with a single narrow drive and ‘first in, last out’ the only possibility. Although Expedia stated it was necessary to call at least 48 hours before arrival to make arrangements for check in, I made many calls to the number given none of which were answered, most times the mail box was full and I was unable to leave a message, and when I eventually did leave a message I didn't received a reply so wasn’t sure if my booking was assured. The separate, not en-suite, bathroom was cramped and very old, although it did have a recent electric shower fitted, there were no “bathroom complimentary packs”. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in my room. The breakfast was anything but “English”as indicated by the photo in the description. The “newly equipped gym” consisted of three pieces of equipment, folded and tucked away in the corner of the dining room. All in all, a very disappointing experience, not value for money. I would not recommend this accommodation.

I used this for an overnight stay, was welcomed nicely by the young man on duty, (who was very helpful and accommodating throughout the stay). Was surprised to find my room did not have a key to secure it when I went out for a meal though. Also television reception was intermittent, (didn’t matter too much as I was on a short overnight, but would have been irritating on a longer stay). Otherwise, things were fine.

I stayed here last week. Ray was a lovely host, friendly and helpful. The B and B was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Highly recommended

Our party arrived on motorbikes to safe and convenient off road parking. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and Ray even phoned ahead and booked us a table at the local pub/restaurant which would otherwise meant we would have gone without dinner on our first night! Ideal spot for our visit to Thruxton to watch BSB motorcycle racing.

The place smells, i can't find a better way to say it. The inside and outside looks like a scrap yard. The room was surpridingly clean and the shower was also clean. I was told they don't have insurance to make me sleep during the day, because they have to run errands. I was working nights (healthcare)and back in the morning which csused so much drama. They are a lot of wooden cabins around the property. The couple are very loud borderline rude especially the wife. I ended up booking another hotel and cost of my 4 day trip was over 700 pounds. Never again....

The room we stayed in was very warm. Ray was most helpful especially when it came to Sat/Nav issues

We had a lovely stay at Shiralee. Ray and Fay are warm and friendly hosts and we had great chats with them. The room was well equipped and comfortable. Set in a beautiful and quiet location.

Received a warm welcome and had a nice stay. The place was excentric and if you have ocd you may struggle. But I loved it. Great breakfast

Deep in the Wiltshire countryside with a lovely walk to the Pub. Very quiet area and run by a very welcoming, helpful and friendly couple. Modern, clean bathroom and room, but no area to hang clothes or set out belongings. However, it was only one night and there was still some painting to do on the bathroom doors, so I think it was still in progress. The beds were very comfortable and I would return if on the area again

Ich war mit dem Motorrad unterwegs. Nach langer Zeit der heftigste Regen und ich war komplett "durch". Mein Empfang war trotzdem sehr herzlich und mir wurde mein Zustand mehr als nachgesehen. Die Dame des Hauses bezeichnete mich gar als "Tapfer"! :-) Die Unterkunft ist sehr familier geführt und ich fühlte mich willkommen. Mein Zimmer war gemütlich und gut ausgestattet. Ich habe dort die ruhigste Nacht meiner gesamten Reise geschlafen! Das Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend und nach meinen Wünschen zubereitet. Die Gastgeber waren sehr zuvorkommend und unvoreingenommen. Trotz meiner schlechten Kenntnisse der Sprache waren sie sehr bemüht mir den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Danke Fay und Ray! Der Ort ist definitiv eine Reise wert! Seeehr ruhig und mit einigen sehenswerten Reisezielen umgeben. Besucht das "Lord Nelson Arms"! Am besten ihr geht zu Fuss vom Shiralee dorthin. Ich fand es toll!
