街の中心街なので夜中じゅう、騒ぐ声、車両の騒音が不快でした されど、交通の便もよく快適でした

特記事項はしっかり確認することを改めて認識しました。 　・この施設にはフロントデスクが 　　ありません。チェックインは、 　　施設所在地とは異なる場所 　　(The George Hotel) でお手続き 　　ください。

ヒースローからバスで行ったため、夜着だったのでセルフチェックインが心配でしたが、メールで夜着の連絡をしていたせいか、係の人に手伝っていただき助かりました。バス降りて15分くらいのゆるい上り坂。部屋は新しいツインベッドの広い部屋で、お湯沸かし、コーヒーメーカーあり、Wi-Fi無料、バスタブはなくシャワーのみですが水回りは問題無し。チェックアウトもセルフでしたが簡単でした。ザ ジョージと同系列みたいで朝食はザ ジョージのとなりのカフェでいただきます。ただザ ジョージがリフォーム中で完成したら変わるかもわかりません。係の若い男性はとても親切で気持ちが良かった。

新しいホテルで清潔です。チェックインからチェックアウトまでホテルの人に会わずコンピューターで行います。朝食付きにすると道を挟んで向かい側のレストランに行くことになりますので、困ったことがあったらそこで伝えることができます。私はチェックアウト後に荷物を預かって欲しかったので伝えたところ、電話を貸してくれホテルの人に問い合わせることができました。ホテル隣の家具屋で預かってもらえるシステムでした。

The hotel itself (hallways) is a bit like a travelodge but the room we stayed in, 911, was really clean and the bed was really comfy. It was quite warm though so not sure what it would be like in summer.

The room was very warm even though not a hot day outside. There was air conditioning in the corridors but not the room. I received an email during the day saying that I would receive an upgrade to a suite due to the lift being out of action however when I checked in I was told that I couldn't have an upgrade even when I complained about the room being too hot. Apparently my suite had been given to somebody else. Also when we went for dinner at 8.15 we were told that the kitchen had closed early so that the grilles/canopies could be cleaned. We were not told that we needed to eat earlier due to this when we checked in. We were offered a dessert only! I work in the restaurant business and all maintenance of this kind is planned out of hours so as to not disrupt the customer experience. This should have been the case here. There were still people in the restaurant eating. They should have at least waited to do the work until the service had finished. Apart from that poor experience the rooms were nice,

Asansör 4 gün boyunca bozuktu bize üst katlarda oda verdiler. Oda toz içindeydi hiç temizlenmedi. Merdivenlerdeki halılar kusmuk içindeydi pisti

Elevator was not working. Couldn’t figure out how to close the balcony door - there was no one to ask and no phone in the room to call front desk. Front desk was in a different hotel

Our first night was disappointing as the room had no a/c and the corridor was very hot outside. There was no room to move to. 2nd night we were moved to a cooler room after needing to complain. It was a shame because otherwise it would have been an excellent room in an excellent location. As the room had several fans i cannot believe it was a one off occasion.

The room was extremely hot. I had been offered an upgrade to their hotel across the road during the day before my check in due to the lift being out of action but when I checked in the lift was working so my upgrade was removed. When I mentioned about the room being extremely hot I was offered a fan and when i mentioned about the upgrade I had been offered and accepted I was told that I could no longer have it.

Lovely place to stay, got plenty of fore warning that their lift was down. Comfy bed with extra pillows. Everything was clean and fresh. Right on the high street so very convenient

Basic but clean and comfortable and had all we needed for a one night stay. Balcony was a bonus.

Insgesamt war ich zufrieden, aber das Frühstück drüben im George ist noch erheblich verbesserungsfähig. Die Auswahl ist für so ein exklusives Hotel leider ziemlich dürftig und der Kaffee (???), so leid es mir tut, tatsächlich einfach nur ungenießbar.

I did not like the noise of the airco next to my room wih balcony. I did not like how hot and stuffy the room was

Room was fine. Bathroom however.. Revolting dust falling out of bathroom extractor. Shower door broken and shower head broken. No aircon so either suffocate or get to lie awake most of the night listening to the noise from Colchester’s many drunks.

Liked to just go to the room quickly and it happened

Smooth check in , nice room and superb location - surprisingly quiet !

Mediocre - no air con in rooms.
