街の中心街なので夜中じゅう、騒ぐ声、車両の騒音が不快でした されど、交通の便もよく快適でした

特記事項はしっかり確認することを改めて認識しました。 　・この施設にはフロントデスクが 　　ありません。チェックインは、 　　施設所在地とは異なる場所 　　(The George Hotel) でお手続き 　　ください。

ヒースローからバスで行ったため、夜着だったのでセルフチェックインが心配でしたが、メールで夜着の連絡をしていたせいか、係の人に手伝っていただき助かりました。バス降りて15分くらいのゆるい上り坂。部屋は新しいツインベッドの広い部屋で、お湯沸かし、コーヒーメーカーあり、Wi-Fi無料、バスタブはなくシャワーのみですが水回りは問題無し。チェックアウトもセルフでしたが簡単でした。ザ ジョージと同系列みたいで朝食はザ ジョージのとなりのカフェでいただきます。ただザ ジョージがリフォーム中で完成したら変わるかもわかりません。係の若い男性はとても親切で気持ちが良かった。

新しいホテルで清潔です。チェックインからチェックアウトまでホテルの人に会わずコンピューターで行います。朝食付きにすると道を挟んで向かい側のレストランに行くことになりますので、困ったことがあったらそこで伝えることができます。私はチェックアウト後に荷物を預かって欲しかったので伝えたところ、電話を貸してくれホテルの人に問い合わせることができました。ホテル隣の家具屋で預かってもらえるシステムでした。

Fantastic room with wonderful terrace.

Clean, tidy and on Colchester high street, so a perfect location. Breakfast was served in the hotel opposite, was great.

Miss advertising of the room which we were very unhappy about as this was for our wedding day and wedding night. It took looking at 3 rooms and none were the one we booked. Good breakfast with very pleasant staff looking after us. Window cleaner cleaning the windows at 7.30am. Tv turned itself on in the middle of the night. Room wasn’t cleaned in the 3 nights we were there. We did take the bin to be emptied and asked for more tea/coffee which they went and got us and very friendly. Would I stay again or recommend this hotel NO I wouldn’t

Miss advertising the room.. given wrong room when booked in then given another room with balcony but couldn’t swing a cat in the room as it was so small. We booked this room as it was a 3 day stay for our wedding and honeymoon. In the end we got a bigger room like the picture but no balcony. We were told there are no rooms like the one in the picture. I am very disappointed

Water pressure for cold was none existent and noise from the sky and lettuce was horrendous

Was happy but one the nights (Sunday ) had a group of people in room next to me who were very loud at 1 in morning and kept having people knock on there door . Was surprised with the cameras that security didn’t do anything

Hotel is directly opposite where you check in, which is The George pub. No staff being readily available in the building was a little inconvenient as we had a few confusing moments with the room temperature and couldn’t change it. Also, tv remote was broken so was difficult to navigate using it, but having no main reception in the building meant you couldn’t just pop and get a replacement! But it was very clean, large wet room and not too much trouble to navigate once inside. Would stay again, as it conveniently on the high street so all shops are so close.

Excellent hotel in an amazing location. Directly in front of the castle, on the high street and minutes walk from major stores.

The hotel is bang in the middle of town and the staff are friendly, the shower is good but could use more pressure and the bed is comfy. The breakfast was the best breakfast i have had at a hotel. The Air con system has no effect on the temperature of the room and the window in our room was broken. The hotel is also over the road from a night club and is very noisy till 2am and then at 6am the bin men start up at outside. this is not the hotels fault but if you want a good night's sleep you won't find it here.

Good location, right in the centre of town but very hot no air conditioning and their rooms are quite small in need of some attention. They wanted to charge us 10 pounds for a late . checkout. The rooms don't look anything like they do in the pictures. They must've been taken about 10 years ago when it was new. all the stuff was very nice and helpful. That was the best part. Very noisy location so be aware.
