Sooo nice!

天井が高く、窓も大きく快適でした。朝食のチョイスも豊富です。滞在中にホテルでイベントがあり、朝食は混み合いました。

Beautiful heritage hotel in a fantastic location Amerikalinjen is a beautifully restored hotel that has transformed a century-old office building into a stylish and character-filled place to stay. Its location couldn’t be more convenient, next to Oslo Central Station, making it an ideal base for exploring the city and beyond. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options to start the day. The staff were friendly, professional, and always happy to assist with our requests. I also appreciated the spacious, well-equipped fitness centre, which was one of the better hotel gyms we’ve used. The only disappointment was our Superior Room. Despite the premium category, the ventilation was inadequate, making the room uncomfortably warm at night and resulting in poor sleep on both nights of our stay. This is something that really needs to be addressed, as it detracted from an otherwise very enjoyable experience. Overall, I would recommend Amerikalinjen for its location, heritage, service, and facilities, but I hope management can improve the room ventilation to match the high standard of the rest of the hotel.

Uns gefiel besonders die Lage des Hotels. Die Angestellten waren d freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Zimmer sehr gemütlich.

Fantastisk rom, men med litt skuffende utsikt. Jeg var der kun natt til mandag, og ble skuffet over at cocktailbaren er stengt søndager. Svært lite utvalg av mat på roomservice. Beliggenheten er veldig bra (kan ikke bli mer sentralt). Og designen og stilen i hotellet er veldig kult. Gir følelsen av å bo på et luksushotelle på 1920-tallet.

Centrally located and great breakfast

Alltid godt å bo på dette hotellet. Fantastisk service, beliggenhet, frokost og rom.

Prime location

The hotel was located in a great spot in the city with easy access to multiple attractions and restaurants.

Wonderful staff, great location great sauna and fitness area

We loved the location and restaurant- the accommodations were adequate but the room was war and we couldn’t change the temperature. Also the bathroom was a little tight and there was limited area to store things

This couldn’t be better situated next to walking area with shops and restaurants -and across the plaza from the central train station. The plaza was very lively with a festival, concerts and impromptu performers. The hotel is beautiful inside and out, the rooms are well-appointed and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Great service in all areas- from the room service staff, the restaurant and bar staff and reception. A very nice experience all-around and would highly recommend.

Vi hade ett Delux rum där vi fick ett frukt och donut vilket var trevligt. Men rummet var verkligen litet för att vara ett delux rum. Toaletten var i stort sett nästan halva storleken på själva hotellrummet. Vi kan ha fått ett handikappanpassat rum där av den mindre storleken på själva rummet. Men å andra sidan väldigt dåligt med utrymme i själva rummet. Baren var trevlig på kvällen. Frukosten var väldigt bra för att inte säga utsökt. Väldigt trevligt dom kom till bordet och serverade kaffe och färskpressad juice.

The hotel was in a great location. We were able to walk to a lot of the places we wanted to see and the activities we planned. The breakfast was delicious. There was always a wide variety of options. The hotel staff were always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the Amerikalinjen for your stay in Oslo.

All the staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. Unfortunately there was a hospitality strike ongoing in Norway during our stay so there was only breakfast available and then sandwiches later in the day. The food was still amazing though so looking forward to visiting again when they are back to full service. Lovely hotel with good facilities. Shame there is no pool but you can’t have everything.

Mycket bra o trevlig hotell

Plasseringen er utmerket. Kort vei til off.kom, attraksjoner, kjøpesentrer, restauranter osv. Sengene er nydelige og jeg liker godt badet. Jeg liker godt frokosten der, men denne gang var det litt tørr mat når man kom etter kl 0900.. Venninnen min syntes vårt neste opphold i Bergen hadde bedre frokost, men at Amerikalinjen helt klart var et bedre hotell. Forblir mitt favoritthotell i Norge. Litt uheldig at streiken førte til stengt Atlas, men det er supre alternativer i nærheten. Feks Fiskeriet, Bjørvika eller Kreatur på Hobo hotellet. Streiken påvirket ellers ikke oppholdet og jeg håper de vinner frem på kravene sine.

Het hotel ligt in het centrum van Oslo en is prima met het OV bereikbaar. Een half uurtje met de trein vanaf het vliegveld en je staat in het centraal station, op 100 m van het hotel. De staf is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Voorafgaand aan ons vertrek richting Oslo werden we geïnformeerd dat er een staking was, waardoor het restaurant niet open was. Maar dat raakte niet de ontbijt mogelijkheden. Het ontbijt is kwalitatief uitstekend en kent een ruime diversiteit. Internationaal, Brits en Noors, kortom perfect. Aan de achterzijde van het hotel werd gebouwd, maar de staf had ons - ongevraagd - een kamer aan de voorzijde toebedeeld. Helemaal geen last van gehad. De kamers zijn trouwens zeer goed geïsoleerd, zodat nachtrust in het heerlijke bed gegarandeerd is. Het verkennen van een stad gaat m.i. het best lopend. Door de centrale ligging zijn vele bezienswaardigheden goed bereikbaar. En wil je wat verder weg, OV en taxi staan zowat voor de deur. Met de app van Ruter (regelt het OV in Oslo) ben je helemaal flexibel. Zeker doen.
