The owner was very serviceminded and arranged AirPort transfer and also lended us a mosqito net since we didnt bring our own and there was none in the room. Show is also very fast in answering messages before our visit. The room is very basic but clean. But it is VERY NOISY and warm. A lot of noice from street, dogs barking and from the aircon and fan and from generator. The AC was not so cold either so it was very warm. Due to the noise (it felt like bed was vibrating from the noise from AC and genrator) we checked out after 1 night (had pre paid for 3) and changes hotel. Askes for a refund of at least 1 night but first the owner refused. But after emailing hotels I got refunded. All and all it is a nice and cosy basic accomodation with walking distance from the beach (around 3 min). But you should not be a light sleeper when staying here.

Mountainside Inn is a small and very basic family run guesthouse with only 5 rooms, located perfectly central within the little town of El Nido, but a bit off the busy Main Street. Rooms are tiny and just fit a 1,40 m bed and a small bathroom. Latter has cold water only, but given the climate it’s really all you need. Aircon is noisy, but I did not need it even though it was quite hot outside. During power shortages they have a generator which is noisy as well, but my room was to the other side so it was not a problem. The place is clean and well maintained. What makes this place special are it’s incredible friendly owners, who really do care about you and will make sure you have a good time in El Nido. If you look for a basic and fair priced accommodation there I can recommend it.
