There's a lot to like about this place. I stayed for 4 nights in February 2019 and found the place to be a very charming pleasant place to stay. I was in room 4 on the top floor. The bed was very comfortable, not too hard like some places in Asia. And the pillows were also very comfortable. There is a ceiling fan and an air conditioner. The hot water worked perfectly and there was always a lot of pressure. The room has two windows and some doors that open up onto a patio. There are no chairs or tables on the patio but there is a drying rack in case you have some wet clothes to dry out. There is a locking cabinet in the room where you could leave any valuables when you take off for the day. The breakfast was quite good; It was a toasty and any type of eggs plus a fruit plate and there's coffee and tea available on the table. In case you don't know this already, what they typically do in Indonesia is they put very finely ground coffee on the table and you mix it with hot water and then let the grounds settle to the bottom before you drink it. I thought it was instant coffee but it was actually fresh ground coffee. Anyway the owner of the hotel helped me get a private driver to go see several attractions that I could not reach on my own for a fair price. She also arranged the class at the cooking school that I enjoyed. Hanoman St is one of the busiest in the city and therefore you will probably hear motorcycles buzzing by even when you're in your room. So bring earplugs :-)
