場所はゴールデンゲートそのもので超便利、日本食風レストランが50m内に2件あり、ローカル料理に飽きた時に頼りになります。ただ、エレベーターが無く4階のみの部屋なので大きい荷物は大変です。タオルは自分で洗わなくてはならない、ローカルらしく外に干せますが。朝食は無いですが近くのお店が6時から開いています。支払いは現金のみ。スタッフは空港ピックアップ(有料)もしてくれ親切でした。

Great location just inside the golden gate of the palace. Easy to find and quiet. There are 3 rooms on the top floor. There is no elevator so be prepared to take your luggage up 56 steps on a wooden spiral staircase.

If you want an authentic stay within the walls of Diocletian's Palace, The Golden Gate Rooms is an excellent choice. My mother and I had a wonderful experience, and it was one of the highlights of our visit to Split. From the moment we booked, Vlatka and her husband were exceptional hosts, friendly, responsive, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality made us feel comfortable and well cared for throughout our stay. The location is truly special. Staying inside the historic palace was exactly what I had hoped for, and walking through the ancient stone passageways each day felt like stepping back in time. It offered a unique experience that no modern hotel could match. Vlatka's husband went above and beyond, helping with our luggage and arranging secure storage nearby so we could travel light during our short two-night stay. This thoughtful assistance made everything much easier and reflected the care they show their guests. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. The towels were beautifully presented, the Wi‑Fi worked perfectly, and the amenities provided everything we needed. It was clear that great attention had been given to guest comfort. I was also impressed by the value. Considering the extraordinary location in the heart of one of the world's most remarkable historical sites, the price was very reasonable. The entire booking and check-in process was smooth and professional. Overall, our stay at The Golden Gate Rooms exceeded expectations!

Room 3 was comfortable (ac worked great) and the location was fantastic. It might be hard for some to enter/exit due to the tight spiral stair case but was a novel experiance for me w/ backpack.

The property is in a great location. It is right beside the Golden Gate along with other shops and restaurants. The couple who take care of the units were very helpful, friendly and prompt. A lot of stairs but after a day or two you get used to them. We had some heavier luggage to carry up and the gentleman and his wife who lives and cares for the units, gladly carried our luggage up and then down the stairs when arriving and leaving. They were very helpful. We would stay there again. It’s amazing to stay in a unit built in the 3rd century. Air conditioning works well. We had the unit with the balcony, which we enjoyed.

Other than the difficult stairs was a great experience and can't beat location

Fun place and location, 52 winding steps to the room, if you’re okay with that the location is fantastic and it’s a comfortable room.

Little tricky to find at first, as it's IN the palace and the door isn't especially obvious until you see it. Once you're there it's a fantastic spot, couldn't be closer to the center of everything in that area and the hosts are wonderful.

This was such a cute place to stay just inside the gates of the old city. Clean, good amenities and a really great location. The owner was so kind to us and so helpful. We are so thankful for him as we were very lost and he came out to find us. There is a winding staircase up to the room that made us feel like we were staying in a castle.

This property is in the best location! Stunning city with everything in walking distance. The little balcony is perfect, with a great view - and the hosts are incredibly helpful and friendly. We got an airport transfer with them - and we also left our bags with them when we went on a day trip on the day of our departure. Excellent apartment

The location is great just inside the wall, close to the water front. How ever there's 55 steps to the 3rd floor which is significant. Also we were there for 3 nights and we didn't have fresh towels. Also if you don't pay at the time of your booking, you have to pay cash, we have traveled in Europe a number of times and this is the first that we had to pay cash.

What an amazing location - it felt like we stayed in a castle. Fantastic, historical property inside the walls of Split. The narrow, spiral stairs to the 3rd floor would be tricky for some to navigate, especially with luggage, but was fine for us. Very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Would stay again.

Situated directly at the entrance of the gate it was really easy to find the place. The room had everything we needed.

Golden Gate was perfect for us - 2 women traveling together. There were 2 comfortable beds, fridge, AC, shower, coffee. Seemed to be recently remodeled. Easy access to Split beaches and sites!

Very nice location and very clean and tidy room. Helpful staff also and everything was easy. Only bad thing is that when I chose the option to pay at the location you could only pay in cash. Every ATM takes access fee and you have to take a lot of cash to pay for the stay.

Nice room and great location

Fantastic location, comfortable room with all the essentials and our room had a small balcony with two chairs and small table. Great host and fair price as well. As others have said, the old narrow circular stair case over three floors means that some people may have difficulty, or if you have lots of heavy bags.

Great property located to many central sites in old town split, many good restaurants and bars in the area. Close to Split port and bus terminal. Property communicates quickly, clean and cozy apartment.
