My daughter and I had a lovely stay. Lynn was sooo nice and very obliging. She even offered to do a sandwich on our last morning as we left so early to catch a flight. Breakfast was soooo tasty! As good as my mams!!! Lovely clean place and close to Carlisle centre! We would definitely go back!

We stayed two nights, but remember two main problems. First, we were asked to get check-in details at least 24h in advance, but the B&B never replied to the messages we sent through hotels.com, or answered the phone. Only an "offline" email resulted in an answer. This all made us uncertain of the arrival for a long time. Second, at breakfast we sat at the empty window table, but were asked to move as another couple were arriving soon and wanted that. The explanation for being asked to move was that the other couple were awkward the day before and the hostess didn't want the bother. Really annoying! On top of that this was fairly standard B&B, with small but effective bathroom and ok breakfast. We will not be returning.

Steve was absolutely fantastic from check in to check out, we had a lovely relaxing weekend, everything we needed was in the room, very clean and comfortable, great choice for breakfast too, we were close enough to the town centre and restaurants for dinner, we recommend you book your stay with Steve and Lynn you won't be disappointed, we will definitely be back again soon

A little dated but very clean, friendly & an top breakfast. Defo stay again. Group of 8 of us, all satisfied.

Steve's a great host, very friendly and laid back. The room was basic but functional and perfect for a weekend of hiking and gigs up in Cumbria. The breakfasts were superb and started the day off right. Broadband is plenty quick enough to watch video and signal was strong. The shower was hot and had good pressure and the bed comfy. I may be being too modern, but I'd rather a bit more space on the desk than a TV nowadays - we're in the generation of everyone travelling with a laptop or tablet and I'd rather stream from a million sources than watch a patchy digital TV signal that isn't the best due to how many hills are in the area.

The room was very comfortable, very cozy and warm despite my late arrival. Bed was very comfortable, didn’t take the breakfast due to leaving on successive early morning starts but Steve the my host was excellent by substituting a substantial Packed Lunch on both days including drink and fruit each day so would I recommend to others? Yes of course and would happily stay again next time I am in the area.

A great place to stay with everything you'll need and want. Safe, secure, clean, tidy and well decorated. Literally only five minutes from city centre ...if you take your time! Steve and Lynne are great hosts too. 👍

I had a 3 night stay in Carlisle room clean and tidy bathroom cleaned and towels changed daily bed comfortable and the guest house was eco friendly and was easy to get around town and train station was easy to understand where i was travelling to i would stay there again sometime next year. Etc

A beautiful quaint property near the centre of Carlisle. Fantastic hosts,lovely breakfast,immaculate inside and out of the building. Clean tidy rooms with everything you need.

Situated close to the centre of Carlisle, clean, comfortable, quiet and all at a great price, especially considering it was a bit last minute. The owners are very friendly too and the breakfast was delicious. Couldn't fault it. Would definitely recommend. :)

Ideally located for the Bus Station, friendly helpful owners, excellent great tasting breakfast, comfortable quiet room, will probably stay there again for next years Gelt Gladiator

Great recent 2 night stay. Just a few minutes walk from the city centre and owner kindly arranged a parking permit so was able to park just around the corner. Great value stay with comfy bed, hot shower and great breakfast. Just what I needed as a base.
