The view

The room was spacious but the small window made it seem a little gloomy. The bed was comfortable but the bedside lights were useless I had to use the torch function of my mobile to read in bed. There is no air conditioning so on hot days the room gets uncomfortably hot. A large fan was provided but is rather noisy. The location is very good for walking to cafés, the Trent, football and cricket grounds and for longer walks into Nottingham.

Easy and quick check in were given bottles of water due to the heat fans in the room to help it keep cool a nice size room with lots of storage and a refrigerator lovely comfy bed and nice big shower with complementary shampoos. A great gym and swimming pool even though it was a tad cold but nice hot tub and very hot sauna a lovely stay for the night to visit the uni.

Only disadvantage of this hotel that I've found is lack of air conditioning in the rooms which is a slight discomfort with outside temperatures above 30°C and some rooms having solid double glazing. Luckily Mary at the reception was helpful and changed my room for the one where I was able to partly open the window. Corridors leading to rooms are sort of small labyrinths... Other than that, nice place to stay.

It was 29° in Nottingham and the room had no air conditioning. I had the window open all night for a smidge of air but the traffic noise was disturbing.

Staff are pure quality. So helpful, professional and pleasant. Hotels food was exceptional. Will return . Thanks for a lovely weekend. Slainte

Good location and free parking, but my room was unbearably hot as there is only one tiny bathroom window and no other ventilation.

Fantastic hotel and great place to stay and staff are polite

From the moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly staff member on the check in desk, I was told everything I needed to know about the hotel, like brakefast times and so on. The room was fine for what I needed asI was not there for most of the day anyway, The only problem I had was the bathroom size as it was too small but thats what you get for a single room. The room was quite the bed was just right! The Brakefast was spot on, fresh and cooked just right, coffee, toast and so on, set me up for the day! I had dinner on the Friday night, the burger I had was just what I needed after the train ride I had from Cov. I used the pool, it looked clean and well kept, the temp of the hot tub was spot on, the pool was cold but for me it was fine! In all the hotel, the staff and location was spot on. I would stay here again.

Comfortable stay.

Amazing stay, staff couldn’t be more helpful! Wish breakfast hours was extended a bit as was att ending for a music festival and not getting back to the hotel until 3am most nights so would have been nice to have a bit more of a lie in. Otherwise everything was spot on, facilities super clean!

Great hotel, lovely breakfast, large comfortable beds and helpful staff. This hotel has parking which is a must for weekend stays and was an ideal location for an event we were attending, good transport links and lovely walks locally. We would stay here again 5*, we visited for a 3 night weekend stay.

Good location/parking and friendly staff. Room ok, but no aircon meant leaving the windows open and being woken by binmen at 6.30am! Inconvenient not to have a shelf in the shower (despite previous feedback). Lots of stairs to get to the room. Breakfast was ok for the money, but fairly basic and lukewarm in parts.

On the whole it was a nice stay, the only disappointing part was the lack of stock in the bar.
