自然豊かでとても素敵なところです。 山の中にあるので、車で行く人が多いと思うので、駐車場がもう少し広いと良かったと思います。 ホテルの人は絶妙な距離感でリラックス出来ました。

Had a really pleasant stay at Gwydyr Hotel. The hotel is charming, well-maintained, and very comfortable, with spotless rooms and a cosy atmosphere. Service was warm and attentive, and breakfast was delicious. Just a small note that there’s no lift, but staff were helpful and everything else more than made up for it. Would happily stay again and recommend it.

Exceptional - the customer service was really quite impressive, especially the young lad on the bar. Can't wait to come back next year!

The Gwydyr Hotel has a three-star rating that based on a recent overnight stay is just about justified. The hotel is well located, but parking is a challenge with property’s car park being cramped and inadequate for the size of the hotel. When accessed from the car park, the lobby and reception give a positive impression. Our room was at the back of the hotel, overlooking the car park. It had two beds: a double and a single. A night’s sleep was difficult to achieve as the double was small and sunken in the middle, while the single sloped significantly from left to right. The carpet was well trodden with the odd floorboard that moved when walked on and a hanging rail serving as a wardrobe. The en suite bathroom was similar, being tired with a sloping floor and a corner sink so small that it was a challenge just to wash your face. The same applies to the shower cubicle. While areas of the hotel have been improved, the carpet in the hall and on the stairs appears well-worn. Breakfast was fine, being a combination of buffet and a la carte, although service was initially somewhat indifferent, albeit better thereafter. Overall, the hotel is akin to a curate’s egg, being partly good and partly bad.

Positives - Really friendly check in/bar staff. We were lucky and managed to get a space in the hotel car park, and nice that it was free. Nicely designed communal spaces, and clean throughout. Negatives - We booked a deluxe double, but when we got to the room we found it was very basic, set up as a twin and right on the junction of the busy roads. I did go back to reception to question the room and if it was a deluxe and was told that it was (Room 4). I was told it could be set up as a double if needed but it was already late, and it would have been 2 beds pushed together and not a double bed as in the photos. Very deceiving as the photos shown on hotels.com as standard twin was our exact room, so either we were giving the wrong room type or the photos are incorrect. The single beds were small and not the most comfortable to be honest and dipped in the middle. Overall it was fine for 1 night but not being given the correct room was highly disappointing and ultimately meant we didn’t want to spend money on dinner or breakfast at the hotel.

Staff was great everyone went out of their way to treat you right. Place was a little dated but clean. Great base for sightseeing.

Had a parking lot which was great. Small single room but comfortable. Big enough bathroom with shower. Lots of electrical outlets. No safe or fridge. Dinner was okay. I wouldn’t eat here again but the hotel was clean and staff friendly.

Very central location to the village. Welcomed on arrival with easy check in and check out. Dinner was v good and bar staff friendly. Nice short stay this time but we hope to return for a longer stay next time

The hotel is very nice, and in a great location but on night 1, at 23:30 when we were trying to sleep, a huge amount of noise from the downstairs bar happened until 01:30am. It was so loud. We could not sleep and we had a 50 mile ultra marathon to run the next day. So we managed to get some hours after the racket stopped. Dont know if it was guests or public or staff making the noise but it was very very loud. After the ultra, we were trying to sleep on day 2 and at 00:30am the very same happened again. I dont know what they do at this hotel but its very weird and odd how they expect people to sleep when this very loud lot of shouting, rowdyness, loutish behaviour is happening in the early hours. Wont stay here again purely for the fact that youll never ever get a good nights sleep

We stayed at Gwydyr hotel for the night, the hotel itself was lovely, staff were really friendly, cocktails were great!

Manager uncooperative staff was highly bureaucratic

Ottima posizione e bella struttura esterna e negli spazi comuni. La camera tripla però semplice e di dimensioni ridotte. Non rimane certamente nei ricordi di un viaggio. Parcheggio privato con pochi posti disponibili

The location is great but the hotel standards are average at best. The room was tiny, dated, with no fridge and the most uncomfortable, tiny bed. The bar area is nice but drinks prices are extortionate. The quality of restaurant food is very poor. The best thing about the hotel were staff- very friendly, helpful and professional.
