Very clean room, spacious, warm, ample hot water, comfortable bed, window in bedroom and in bathroom, desk, chair, luggage/clothes rack all very useful, lighting good enough for reading in bed as well as for general living, nice to have tea and coffee-making facilities, helpful staff

Staff were pleasant and helpful. My single room was clean, though quite basic and lacking a comfortable chair (as opposed to the desk chair). Very warm with lots of hot water. Slightly shabby net curtains. Common parts (stairs and corridors) in need of refurbishment. Principle reason for staying here is the location is convenient for me

Room could be cleaned to a better standard

Parking was nice and easy . Breakfast was fresh but laking healthy options. Room wasn’t particularly clean . The skirting boards had a layer on dust and dirt and toilet was brown and had stains . Bed covers also had marks. Long hairs on bed.

The toilet wasn’t very clean and loud music coming from the bar at 7am wasn’t very considerate

Everything as expected. Staff where friendly and helpful. Room was great, everything I needed. Comfy bed, modern bathroom, clean, secure.

Lovely room just enough room. Pub served tasty food and had a good variety. Parking at back.

Rooms are a bit warn, and was quite cold at night.

Room was not ready at16.00 work to door being done, only a short wait. Steak meal was poor, one third of meat was inedible.

I’ll be kind and just say the Property needs ‘updating’ Staff are great though.

The location if staying in Sherborne couldn't be much better. The rooms are pretty basic but they are clean and functional so if your expectations are high in this respect then maybe look elsewhere. Staff all seemed pretty friendly & the bar & drinks were okay - didn't eat there so can't comment.

Could do with grab rail by the bath and a mat for the bath as slippery when wet. Staircase handrails very sticky and need a good clean.

At the centre of town close to the Abbey, shops etc.

Good location in centre of Sherborne. Very reasonably priced room and the staff are friendly and helpful. The pub has a car park and is also just 5/10 minutes walk from station. The delightful Sherborne abbey is just a very short walk from the inn and there are numerous restaurants nearby. The room was very comfortable although there was occasional noise from the bar downstairs or outside tables. The Abbey is close by and the clock chimes might bother some. The food onsite is good whether you require breakfast or a meal. The room was well equipped and it suited me as a solo traveller very well.
