The room was great, comfortable, well equipped, spacious, quiet, lighting was spot on. The only reason I’ve not given 5 stars was because it wasn’t clear on booking that it was unmanned (so not really a hotel) - or that our booking was inflexible and couldn’t be amended or changed. This meant we couldn’t leave luggage anywhere safe before we checked in or after we left - something which has always been possible at other hotels. So we had to pack very lightly and lug everything with us to the cricket (the whole purpose of our visit) as we’d travelled by train, not car. The room was spotless but the communal areas could have done with a bit of a clean and brush up. We did have a great time but for a fairly premium price, perhaps you should consider some kind of secure lock up for luggage.

The room was clean and the location was perfect. Easy to check yourself in and park. It was disappointing that there was no bottled water in the room & tea coffee wasn’t great. I think for the price I would have expected some toiletries and at least bottled water. Very basic and the lighting at the top of the stairs only came on when you were under it and if you are staying in an attic room you can’t see.

I found the entrance arrangements a bit complicated - it could have been clearer how to get into the main building and access the room . There are no staff on site which worked okay as there were no problems apart for. The air con not working well in my room and it would have been too late to get help by phone. The room was great and I liked the bathtub, generous tea and real coffee was a treat.

Amazing accommodation, felt really nice and the bath was perfect! It’s huge! So my 6ft 5 husband was delighted. Clean and tidy, nice and warm with aircon. Lovely pillows and duvet, but unfortunately the mattress was terrible. The bed sloped down at the head of the bed, and dipped in the middle. Not the best nights sleep. I’d stay again but I’d try a different room hoping the bed was better. You can tell they have aimed for quality, and it shows in the taps, underfloor heating and bedding. My only negative comment is the bed/mattress

I would have given this property a 100% fantastic if the wifi was not terrible. so minus the wifi, Edgbaston House is fantastic.

Really grateful for the parking video I received, or I'd have never found it. Parking was secure. The room was cosy and very comfortable, and exceptionally clean. I was really pleased with the bath tub and the underfloor heating in the bathroom. Amenities were lovely natural products that smelt divine. The only gripe I had was that the guests upstairs were having a shower quite late & the pipes were loud. Otherwise, excellent hotel and I'll be staying again.

Room was clean, clear guidance on how to get into building and room. Bathroom was a treat with lovely bathrobe, towels and toiletries. Bed was comfortable and right temperature. Good to have tea/coffee making facilities.

Check in process was a shambles including room assignment being in correct and then “virtual receptionist” providing us the access code to a lock box which co trainer key cards for an occupied room. Luckily the occupant was not there but this concerned me significantly as clearly guest security is not robust. In addition the room was cheap style of substance with significant black mould present.
