A lovely place to stay. The room was clean and comfortable with heating, aircon AND fan! We only needed the fan. Shower was powerful and clean. The curtains were very good at keeping out the light. Service was very friendly and efficient. Food was delicious and good value. The only small issue was that the external lights remained on all through the night, from an eco friendliness point of view, could be improved. Well recommended stay. Delightful and pretty part of the world.

My 4th year using the Grantham Arms as a stopping point for client visits in Yorkshire and they never disappoint. Lovely people, fantastic rooms and good value.

Stayed a few time now. The granthan arms is a well ran place with comfy rooms and top food. Parking is hard but well worth it!

Nice busy place good food and beer easy to find

Absolutely loved out stay here. The bed was super comfortable, staff were friendly and efficient and as a bonus there was a snack box and fridge on the landing with biscuits and drinks etc in case you needed anything. Highly recommend 😁

We stayed 1 night while visiting relatives. The decor was great and had a cozy feel. Bit disappointed there was no fridge in the room.

My wife and I stayed at the Grantham Arms enroute to visit relatives, and it far outweighed our expectations. We got a nice warm welcome and the room was spacious and comfortable, and was warm and cosy. Cannot really fault it. The food was excellent, and service exceptional. Only minor drawback for me was the nearby road was noisy, but given it is quite rural there was no traffic overnight, so didn’t interrupt my sleep.

We had a long day in York out in the rain and this Hotel cheered us up no end. The suite was amazing and so comfortable and the bathroom was spectacular!! The food was so fresh and delicious and the staff very friendly and attentiveThe bar and dining area was all decorated for Christmas which was lovely and cosy. Just wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back .Thank you loved our stay and couldnt think of a negative if I tried !
