Small room but nice and clean. The breakfast was nice as well as the dinner kn the restaurant.

Lovely people, great breakfast.

It’s in a great location. I got in just as they were closing the front desk and restaurant. I ordered the cod and it was excellent along with extremely friendly waitstaff. The problem I encountered was an extremely bad odor from the bathroom. The door was shut when I entered the room and I believe that may have been to try and contain the smell. I ended up getting a very bad headache from it and had a very hard time getting to sleep with the stink. I managed to get about 3 hours of sleep and I left for some fresh air. I did reach out via the message app almost 21 hours ago but I have not heard back. I was hoping to avoid writing any negative review. But the fact remains, something needs to be fixed with that bathroom/plumbing.

Property was fabulous especially considering the Westfjord’s remoteness. Made an easy day trip to western most point in Iceland to find puffins galore, then to Dynjandi Waterfall (second favorite Icelandic waterfall), using the property as our base. Breakfast & dinner was outstanding. Bravo!

Die Zimmer waren wirklich toll eingerichtet, toller Ausblick sowohl zum Meer, als auch auf den Berg. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal. Sehr gutes Restaurant und Frühstück. Das einzige Hotel weit und breit, aber wir haben uns wirklich wohl gefühlt.

Not many options in this part of Iceland, but the Hotel Flokalundur was a pleasant surprise with clean, comfortable rooms and a welcoming restaurant.

After our original accommodation cancelled on us at the last minute, we ended up booking here. The room was large and comfortable, dinner at the restaurant was great, and we were especially pleased to find the free car wash station out front as our vehicle was very dirty from driving dirt roads. The included breakfast was more typically American than other places we’ve stayed: it had bacon, eggs, beans, cornflakes, and Cheerios in addition to the typically European style buffet.

Buen hotel

Extremely quiet stay - no door slamming or voices from other rooms. Very spacious room and modern bathroom with towel warmer. Bed was comfy as well. Breakfast offers a wide variety of food. Dinner was not a great experience - both the fish and lamb were overcooked and bland though. But great hotel!
